Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology

Application and Admission Procedure
How to Apply
The application process is conducted exclusively offline. Candidates can download the application form, take a printout, fill in all the details and submit/mail to the address indicated at the top of the form, along with all the relevant documents and a Demand draft of Rs.1000/- drawn in favor of ‘Principal, CBIT’, payable at Hyderabad (nonrefundable).
The documents to be enclosed are:
- SSC or its equivalent certificate (photocopy).
- Marks sheet of Intermediate or its equivalent (photocopy) for ascertaining completion of qualifying examination.
- EAMCET hall ticket (photocopy) and Rank Card (photocopy) / AIEEE RankCard (photocopy) / ICET Rank Card (photocopy).
- Registration fee of Rs.1000/- by Cash / Demand Draft drawn in favor of Principal, CBIT, payable at Hyderabad (nonrefundable).
Admission Procedure
The admission into the undergraduate and postgraduate programs is based on merit (Class 12th marks and/or Bachelor’s degree), and the candidates are also required to take the following entrance examinations:
- EAMCET (BE course)
- AMIE/AMIETE/GATE (ME)
- ICET (MCA, MBA)

Hostel Facilities:
Currently only boy’s hostels are available. There is a proposal to build girls hostels with modern amenities.

- CBIT offers 9 UG(Civil, EEE, Mech, Prod, Chem, Bio-Tech, ECE, CSE, IT) & 11 PG(MTech) in (CSE, Network Security, Communication Engg., Embedded & VLSI, CAD-CAM, Structures, Earthquake Engg., Power systems, & Thermal Engg), MCA & MBA courses with total intake of 1394.

Remarks
My experience at the college has been one of the best experinces i have had till now. The college is very diverse with students from around the country and you get a mix culture of a lot of states which is really fun as you get to meet a lot of them and learn and lot from them. The faculty of the college fore me was good though i dont think many will agree with me as they were strict and most students were scared of them but since i was a good and bright students they loved and always pushed me towards my dreams.
Entrance Exam
Being a B. tech student, you are required to have atleast 50% in your class 12th and appear for the amity JEE which is the university conducted entrance test. Also the college accepts score of other popular engineering entrance like the JEE Mains. You might also be called for an interview though I did not give any interview.
Fees
Placements
The exposure provided by the college is the best. It has a dedicated placement cell which is very helpful in the placement season. The college also provides internship to get a beforehand experience of the corporate life.
Hostel and Facilities
Due to the lack of freedom i chose to stay in the PG nearby and thus dont know much about the hostels. You will easily get a PG but this also depends on your locality of stay.
Alumni
Faculty
The faculty of the college is very helpful and understanding. They provide us with new ideas and career advices. The teachers are very professional and experienced. We even have guest faculties who come all the way from abroad. I would like a 9/10 for the faculty.
Campus Life
There is a lot of scope of extra-curricular activities. Students get to learn of lot of new things. The campus life is pretty great as amity provides a lot of facilities. The infrastructure is very modern and the campus is huge. It is one of the best private colleges in the country and has a lot of branches. The facilities provided are top class. There are so many events happening that is very hard to get bored.
Academics
My course is semester wise. Each year we have 2 semesters. 30% marks are provided by labs, viva and 70% for then written tests. The faculties are great here and focus on each student.
Internships
The college does provide internships. Though it depends from dept to dept. Internship also orovide stipend to studenst the stipend starts from Rs 2,000 and upwards. It tie ups with various leading companies for internships.
Loans and Scholarships
The college provides scholarships to meritorious students. You have to be a top scorer in entrance test or topper of batch to avail it. Though I haven’t availed any, but loan facilities is not something i think colllege offers yet..
