Smt. Kashibai Navale Medical College and General hospital is now an 878 bedded hospital with 48 ICU beds, 800 teaching beds, 30 Casualty beds and 4 Haemodialysis beds. Named after the reverent mother of our founder president Prof. M. N. Navale, the hospital was started in the year 2006 with initial 300 beds and an outpatient department. In the last 8 years the bed strength has increased to almost three times the initial strength. The Medical College which simultaneously started in September 2007, with an intake of 100 students for MBBS course, is affiliated with Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nasik and has sanction from Medical Council of India, New Delhi. The first batch admitted in September 2007 had started their internship from Feb. 2012 which is now completed and the third batch of 99 students admitted in 2009, had appeared for their final MBBS exams. 75 students cleared the exam and started their internship from February 2014. Our MBBS degree is duly recognized by Medical Council of India and also by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India, New Delhi. Post graduate courses in the subjects of Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Pathology, Microbiology, Community Medicine, Surgery, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedic, Gynaecology, Anaesthesia, Radiology, dermatology, Pulmonary Medicine and Pediatrics are carried out in the institute. This year added a new hospital building. The departments, wards and OPDs of Medicine, Paediatric, Surgery and Orthopaedics are shifted to this building. An AC Lecture hall having seating capacity of 200 is situated at the 7th floor of this building. Maintaining much higher bed strength than required in the hospital to fulfil the social requirement as the average daily OPD of hospital during the year 2014 is 1803.

Eligibility
To pursue MBBS/BDS at Smt. Kashibai Navale Medical College And General Hospital students must satisfy following eligibility criteria.
The candidate should be 17 years old (as on 31st December of the admission year). He/She should have appeared for an exam cosidered to be equivalent to 10+2 Higher Secondary Exam and studied PCB (Physics, Chemistry and Biology). The candidate should have studied English at 10+2 level. Candidate satisfying any of the following criteria are also eligible -
1) Candidates who have appeared for Intermediate examination in science with subjects PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and English. Those who have appeared for pre-professional/pre-medical exams with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English and have appeared for 10+2 Higher Secondary Exam or intermediate exam are also eligible.
2) Candidates who have passed the first year of a 3 year degree course with subjects - Physics, Chemistry, Biology are also eligible.
3)Candidates who have passed B.Sc. (Bachelor of Science) exam with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and who have cleared 10+2 Higher Secondary Exam with PCB are also eligible.
Admission Procedure
Marks obtained in Maths are not considered for admission into the MBBS course.
Please note that in a non-governmental institutes, 50% of the seats will be filled by management of the institute. Academic merit should be considered while granting admission under management quota. Rest 50% seats will be filled by competent authority based on the academic merit of the candidate.
Academic merit of a candidate will be determined based on the performance in competitive exam conducted by the state governemnt or competent authority or centralized competitive exam conducted at the national level.
Candidate must score at least 50% marks in the competitive exam. For SC/ST/OBC candidates the minimum percentage required is 40%.
For post-graduation courses, performance in first, second and MBBS exam can be considered to determine the academic eligibility of the candidate.
