Established in the year 1998, Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishvavidyalaya (RGPV) is situated in Bhopal covering an area of about 247 acres with a lush green campus and all the modern amenities. The institute offers both under graduate and post graduate programs to the students. It is a government owned university affiliated to UGC, NAAC.

The institute is divided into 11 departments as follows:

• Department of humanities

The college focuses not only on theoretical knowledge but also on the overall development of the students; therefore it organises various workshops, industrial visits and events for the student so that they get a chance to sharpen their entrepreneurial skills.

Application and Admission Procedure

The candidates who are seeking admission into these courses must have passed the 12th examination of 10+2 system from a recognized board with Physics & Mathematics as main subjects along with either Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/ Technical subject as the third subject with an atleast combined aggregate minimum of 45% marks in these subjects.

There is a relaxation of 5% marks in above requirement in case of SC, ST, OBC (excluding Creamy Layer) category candidates of Madhya Pradesh.

How to apply

• The students will also have to qualify the JEE mains examination in order to secure admission in the B.Tech program.
• The next step for the candidates is to fill the online application form, which is available on the official website of UIT RGPV. The accurate details have to be provided in the application form.
• The scanned photographs and the signature have to be uploaded as per the dimensions specified.
• The next step is to make the payment as per the modes specified in the instructions.

Hostel and Facilities

Campus facilities

The huge campus located on the outskirts of Bhopal is spread over an area of 241.14 acres. For convenience, the campus is separated into separate instructional blocks, a library block, workshops block and administrative block.

The campus is well connected to transport routes and has access to the various industries of Bhopal which in turn ensures that the students get practical contemporary training.

It has academic parks, playgrounds, a central computer centre and a multimedia centre. It has an optical fiber based campus wide network with almost 1400 nodes.

Hostel facilities

The institute has separate hostel for boys and girls. Additionally, it also has residential facility for staff.

Student life

The students participate in various college festivals and seminars and the civil engineering students recently participated in “Parivartan”, step day convention organised by Club Technophilic.
