Poojya Doddappa Appa College of Engineering is a private institute established in the year 1958 under the affiliation of Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU). It is approved by AICTE, New Delhi. It was given the Bharatiya Vidya Bhawan Award for an engineering college having best overall performance for the year 2017 by ISTE.

The institute offers 11 undergraduate, 10 postgraduate courses and 7 research programmes.

PDACE is located in Shambhognlli, Gulbarga, Karnataka and is spread across 71 acres with sprawling greenery around. With good IT infrastructure, well equipped laboratories, air-conditioned classrooms, central and digital library, cafeteria, medical care, banking, sports, transport, the college is well facilitated.

The college also has National Service Scheme and various clubs like Kannada club, Ecology club, Akshaya Urja club and Sky Watching club.

The admission into the UG programmes is done on the basis of CET/NATA/COMEDK scores for BTech/BArch. For PG programmes, it is based on an entrance test.

Hostel and Facilities

Hostel

The college has one hostel for the boys and one for the girls. The hostels provide mess facilities and WiFi. Laundry services are available at an additional charge.

The hostel charges are INR 12500 per year.

Campus Facilities

The college has state of the art departmental laboratories and reading rooms, seminar halls and computer centers in each individual department. The campus is fully WiFi enabled and there are around 900 computers across the campus.

The central library has over 85000 book volumes and the digital library gives access to online journals and periodicals and provides high speed internet access.
