Praveen Singh Institute of Technology (PSIT) was established in the years 2006 under the patronage of "Sahyog Jankalyan Samiti". This institute is affiliated to Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow and has been approved by AICTE, New Delhi under Ministry of Human Resource Development.
PSIT has been ranked number one among all the engineering colleges in Uttar Pradesh and has also been listed in first 60 colleges all over India by Times of India’s Times Engineering Survey.
The campus is located in Kanpur and has 80 acres of land in its vicinity which provides modern infrastructure and marvelous surroundings.

Admission process
Admission to various B. Tech courses offered by Pranveer Singh Institute of Technology (PSIT ) and PSITcoe is conducted by counselling on the basis of marks obtained in UPSEE. A 30-minute aptitude test is held by the institute.

Campus Facilities
PSIT College of engineering is known for its excellent infrastructure. Class rooms are well lit and airy with multimedia facilities. It also has a very well stocked library and well equipped modern libraries for each department. Well equipped seminar halls also grace the campus.
It also extends superior sports facilities to its students and houses several eateries which serve tasty and nutritious meals at an affordable price.
It is the first campus in Uttar Pradesh to have a centralized AC plant having a capacity of 3000 tonnes. Apart from the traditional facilities it also has several reading rooms as well as a state of art movie auditorium.
Hostel Facilities
The college has separate hostel facilities for both boys and girls. The hostel promises homely stay to its residents along with round the clock security. Each hostel has its own air-conditioned Dining Hall and Curio.
The rooms are double occupancy and they are well furnished with the basic amenities. It has smart laundry service, provides indoor and outdoor sports facilities.
The hostels also houses reading and writing halls and tuck shops. It also has First aid facility operated by residential nurse. 24 hours safe drinking water is also ensured

Eligibility
To pursue MBA at PSIT students must satisfy following eligibility criteria.
The minimum qualification to apply for admission to the MBA Program is a Bachelor's Degree (10+2+3 years of education) in any discipline which is recognized by the Association of Indian Universities, or any degree equivalent to the Bachelor's Degree, with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the Secondary / Higher Secondary / Pre-degree Examinations (or equivalent) conducted by a Board / University.
Those appearing for the final year of the Bachelor's degree examinations may also apply subject to completing their examinations or viva-voce, if any, before June 30. Such candidates will however have to fulfil the above eligibility requirements in respect of minimum academic qualifications for admission and furnish evidence to that effect latest by October 31. At the time of interview and/or admissions, they will be required to produce a letter from their College Principal / Head of Institution stating the exam dates.
Candidates with appropriate industry experience will be given preference for admissions. Their work experience will be given due weightage in terms of the organization, position held and duration.
Admission Procedure
Selected candidates will be called to attend Group Discussions and Personal Interviews. Multiple Group Discussion & Personal Interview lists will be released in phases, both before and after the Application Deadline. The intimation for interview & group discussion is done through registered post and e-mail. In the case of some programs, Group Discussion may not be conducted, in favor of a rigorous interview process.
The selection criteria for calling candidates for admissions is based on multiple factors as follows:
- Past academic performance
- Quality & content of the answers in the application form
- Work experience, if any , in terms of job content & organization
- Group Discussion & Interview performance (applicable for final admissions only)
- Extra curricular activities, other interests & accomplishments
- Competitive Test score (CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT)
A combination of all the above factors are used to determine the eligibility of candidates to be offered final admission. Test scores are NOT the only criteria for selection.
A high test score does not guarantee a call for Group Discussion/Interview. The selection criteria are based on multiple factors as mentioned above.
Remarks
The college is concerned about the security and thus has abolished ragging thats good in our college. But that the only thing the management is good about rest they as lazy. The management was not good because they do not focus on education quality.
Entrance Exam
For admission i got in through my jee mains core though the colllege also accpets scores of other entarce tests as well.
Fees
I have paid around Rs 70k per year as my fee which is very affordable for middle class families. The colleg also offer some scholarships to deserving students and i think this way it helping out studenst who want to study but cannot due to financial constraints.
Placements
Placement and job opportunities was not available in our college. Hardly any company visited college during placement season. We all got the job in job fair which was conduct via other colleges.
Hostel and Facilities
According to my opinion the hostel facilities are good they give good food but as compared to price tag they didn't give lot of facilities. Yes there pg rooms are also available near our college with average rental.
Alumni
Experience with you college seniors or any interaction, you have had with your alumni which In any way has affected your experience is good.
Faculty
All of our faculty members were well qualified, synergized, result oriented and possessing the industrial experience as well but we have the less number of teacher. They are very qualified with degrees from top instutions of the country. They all have masters degrees in their field as well as most of them are either PHF dolders or are pusuing PHD.
Campus Life
Gender ratios, Student Parties, Workshops, cultural societies or Student diversity and tolerance with regards to gender, ethnicity, race, religion, sexual orientation, politics and economic status all is fine.
Academics
Exam Structure was simple like as other college. Pattern of the paper was also easy. We have three hours to complete the paper. Exam always conduct at our college so this was not a hectic for us and we were very comfortable during the exam.
Internships
It was very good experience for me because this was the day when we had known about practical knowledge in our subjective field not so much company came in our campus for doing internship about us. Didn't give much more stipend.
Loans and Scholarships
I dont have much knowledge about the loan or other similar facilities offered by the college.
