IISC Bangalore was established in the year 1909 with the help of Jamsetji Tata and H.H.Sir Krishnaraja Wodeyar. The institution is situated in the Bangalore city and is a public type institute. It was granted the Deemed University in 1958.

After successfully clearing the National level Management examination for MBA, a merit list will be prepared and will be available on the official web page of the university.

The candidates who are selected need to appear for counselling on the mentioned date and time. The candidates must carry all the documents along with him/her at the time of counselling.

Hostel and Facilities

Hostel

The institute offers separate accommodation facilities for both male and female students. The Men’s block has a 2500 single/double sharing rooms and Women’s Block a total of 500 rooms. Due to increase in pressure for campus accommodation, the rooms in the men’s block are available as double sharing occupancy only. There are single occupancy options available in the women’s’ hostel though.

The facility of hostel is not available to sponsored candidates.

The hostel has three dining halls out of which one is vegetarian and two are composite. The monthly mess charges roughly amount to Rs. 1200/- for vegetarian and Rs.1500/- for non- vegetarian hostellers.

Other facilities

The college has a gymkhana which works as the centre for all the cultural and extracurricular activities. Sports like Tennis, Swimming, Cinder track, badminton, Cricket, Billiards, Ping Pong, and a well- equipped gymnasium are few of the facilities available at the gymkhana.

The Ranade library attached to the gymkhana, offers some 10,000+ collection of books and 50+ magazines. Several annual sport tournaments and literary events are conducted at the gymkhana.

To meet all the medical needs of the students the institute has a health centre which offers outpatient and inpatient care along with diagnostic laboratories.

The campus also has two full-fledged Banks (State bank of India and Canara bank) with ATM facilities.
