Established in the year 2001, DBIT has its affiliation to University of Mumbai and offers under graduate courses in the field of science and technology. The institute was formed by Bombay Salesian Society and ranks among top 100 colleges in the list of top engineering colleges in India.

The institute has 5 departments each for separate technical courses namely:

  • Mechanical engineering
  • Computer science and engineering
  • Basic science and humanities
  • Information technology
  • Electronics and communication engineering

The college has witnessed more than 90% placements from various departments and some of prominent recruiters are Amazon, Accenture, Wipro, Infosys, Cognizant etc.

The college also provides various infrastructural facilities to its students such as canteen, sports room, Wi-Fi campus, modern labs, full-fledged library etc.

For candidates seeking admission to the institute should register themselves for Centralised Admission Process (CAP) conducted by the DTE Maharashtra. Scores obtained in MHT-CET are also acceptable for admission.

Other Facilities:

DBIT provides the library facility with Open Access System. There are over 10000 books and 59 print journals. It has online subscription for more than 20 IEEE and ACM journals. There are 1000 CDs which cover a wide range of subjects, software’s, management skills and Competitive exams etc.

The institute has provided a common room to girls to relax. It consists of Carrom, chess and some magazines.

It has a canteen which serves Indian, Chinese and South Indian cuisines to students and staff.

DBIT embraces its sports culture very much, both indoor and outdoor. It provides sporting facilities like, Table Tennis, Chess, Volleyball, Football, Basketball, Cricket and Carrom etc. It provides the facility of well equipped gymnasium. It organizes its biggest sporting event i.e Annual Sports meet.

It provides the scholarship to the SC, ST, OBC , EBC and minorities.
