Mbm Engineering College (MBM) Jodhpur

MBM Engineering College or Mugneeram Bangur Memorial Engineering College, Jodhpur is one of the oldest colleges in India established on August 15, 1951 by the Government of Rajasthan. The Institute started as a stand-alone college and later got incorporated into Jain Narain Vyas University in 1962. Spread across 62 acres, this institute offers various UG and PG courses in engineering as well as other streams.

MBM has 14 departments and 3 centers, some of which are:

• Architecture (since 1998)
• Computer Science and Engineering (since 1988)
• Electrical Engineering (since 1966)
• Educational Multimedia Research Centre (since 1986)
• Faculty Computer Centre

Admission in this institute is carried out through REAP (Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process) for B. Tech/B.Arch Courses. It is based on candidate’s performance in JEE Mains and GATE for UG and PG courses respectively. Reservation is done according to the norms of the college.

The Institute offers several facilities like library, auditorium, hostel etc. Companies like TCS, HCL, Wipro etc. come for placements. The institute is best known for its placements in mining sector. Average package is ₹3.5 LPA. And highest package is ₹7 LPA.

Hostel and Facilities

Hostel

M.B.M engineering college has separate hostels for boys and girls. There is separate hostel accommodation for 1^st year, 2^nd year and 3^rd year students.

There are 8 hostels for boys and 4 hostels for girls. There is 24 hours internet connectivity, a canteen in each hostel, recreational rooms and medical attention available to the students.
