Sinhgad College Of Engineering (SINHGAD) Pune

Sinhgad college of Engineering is a private college situated in Vadgaon, Pune, Established in the year 1996 by Singhad Technical Education Society. The college is affiliated to University of Pune and is approved by AICTE. The college is accredited by NBA (National Board of Accreditation) and has been awarded ‘A’ grade by NAAC.

The college offers 8 undergraduate Engineering programmes and 6 post graduate programmes in engineering. It is divided into various departments namely-

Admission to its undergraduate Engineering courses are given on the basis of JEE mains scores or MHT-CET (PCM) scores and for post graduate courses the candidate should have passed B.tech or B.sc with relevant subjects from a recognized University. Almost all the courses has intake of 60 students.

Facilities: The College provides facilities of Library, Well equipped Labs, Computer lab, Auditorium, Seminar Hall, Banking Facility and Hostel accommodation for boys and girls.

Placements: Companies like Accenture, HSBC, Infosys, iGate, Mahindra, Microsoft, Oracle, TVS, Tata motors etc has visited the college for placement in 2017-18 academic year.

Hostel and Facilities

Hostel

The campus is spread in a large area of 50 acres with state-of-the-art infrastructure. It has a sports centre, open air theatre and is well connected with the commonly used modes of transportation.

Separate hostels are available for boys and girls on the campus. All the required facilities such as furnished rooms, WiFi connectivity, water and electricity supply and 24/7 security is present in each hostel. A mess is available for dining which serves nutritious food and clean drinking water with options of other beverages.

Other facilities

There’s a clinic available on campus for health requirements of students. Along with this there are shops, bank, ATM, cyber cafe, auditoriums, seminar halls, library, computer lab, technical labs and a number of canteens for snacks and refreshments.

The placement cell receives lots of renowned companies such as Accenture, Bosch, Honeywell, IGate, Infosys etc.

These Industrial giants provide training to students on campus through various workshops held throughout the year.

The college keeps holding various technical and commercial activities on the campus such as Tie and Saree day, Traditional day etc.

Students can participate in a number of Engineering, Political and Humanities clubs: Sinhgad Students Council, Cyber Times, The Arts Circle, The English Club, Kshitij etc.

The annual college fest “Sinhgad Karandak” is widely popular among students. The college has seen advent of celebrities like The Chainsmokers, DJ Edward Maya etc. Its inter college cultural fest called Neon.
