Jyothy Institute of Technology, established in the year 2011, is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (Belgavi) and is approved by AICTE, New Delhi. It is one of the reputed technical institutes in Bengaluru. It is promoted by the Jyothy Charitable Trust. It is located in Thataguni, on the Bangalore-Kanakapur Road.

Hostel and Facilities
Hostel
Jyothy Institute of Technology is spread over a large and has separate hostels for boys and girls. The boys hostel is in-campus with student capacity of 150. The girls hostel is about 9 km from the campus with a capacity of 85 students.
There is free transport provided to the students to take them to the college from the hostel and vice versa. Each hostel has a canteen which serves only vegetarian food. The student have to choose between 2/3 people sharing a room.
Other Facilities
The institute offers other facilities such as – auditorium, conference rooms and seminar halls, cafeteria, fully stocked library and state of the art laboratories and workshops for every department.
There is provision of shuttle service for easier accessibility as well as computer labs with unlimited internet.
The institute has a sophisticated multipurpose gymnasium and an outdoor sports area for football, cricket, volleyball, basketball, kabaddi, badminton and athletic tournaments.
