Mohamed Sathak Engineering College (MSEC) was established in Kilakarai in 1984. In fact this institution was the very first Self – Financing Engineering College established in the state of Tamil Nadu.

Application and Admission Procedure

How to apply

MSEC offers both graduate and postgraduate programs in a wide variety of disciplines.

Eligibility to apply to the B.E./B.Tech programs, candidate needs a minimum of 50% marks aggregate in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry combined together.

For lateral entry into the second year of engineering, those who hold a diploma in engineering from the state board of technical education or any other board may apply. Students with B. Sc in Mathematics are also eligible for direct entry into the second year.

For the postgraduate programs, candidates need a B.E./B.Tech degree from recognized universities, in specific fields depending on the P.G. program applied for.

For M.E. courses, students are offered set in accordance with the government rules and regulations pertaining to their qualifying examinations and score achieved in the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET), conducted by Anna University.

All candidates applying for B. E. in marine engineering need to provide a physical fitness certificate at the time of admission and their age must be below or equal to 25 years.
