Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology (MAIT) was founded in the year 1999, under the affiliation of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, New Delhi. The Institution has also been approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

The Institution offers undergraduate engineering degree across 5 disciplines – CSE, IT, EEE, ECE, and Mechanical and also offers MBA program.

The Admissions for the UG B.Tech/B.E courses and the MBA program are made through the test scores obtained in the Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIP). The score and rank obtained in the test is used to shortlist candidates for the counseling round after which admission offers are made for the selected candidates.

Application and Admission Procedure

Located in New Delhi, India Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology is a private engineering college affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, New Delhi. The college offers various courses at under graduate and post graduate level.

Undergraduate Courses

For under graduate course namely Bachelor of Technology, the student needs to have 55% aggregate marks in 10+2 or an equivalent examination from a recognised board. The admissions are made strictly on the basis of the ranks obtained by the candidates in Joint Entrance Examination (Main).

Post-graduate Courses

At post graduate level, the college offers a full time MBA course. The candidates need to have a bachelor’s degree from a recognised university with at least 50% marks in aggregate in order to be eligible for admission.

OR

Candidates who have passed the final examination of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or England, The Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India or England or the Institute of Company Secretaries of India are also eligible.

The final admission is based on the score obtained by the candidate in CET conducted by the institute.

Hostel and Facilities

CAMPUS LIFE:

Established in the year 1999, the institute has grown at a great pace till date. Situated in serene beauty of Dehradun, the institute comprises of overall 10 blocks, Wi-Fi connectivity, well equipped labs for students, library, gym etc.

The institute is spread over a large area and offers courses in the fields of Management, Engineering and Applied science. The infrastructural facilities are impeccable providing the students a better environment for academics as well as extra-curricular activities.

HOSTEL:

The institute provides for boys hostels only. There are provisions for AC as well as Non AC rooms as per the requirement of the students. It has more than 40 single seater rooms, 65 double and 7 four seater rooms.

The hostel is also equipped with facilities like Wi-Fi, fresh water supply, electricity supply, basic furniture etc. The rooms are big and spacious for a comfortable living. The hostel promotes healthy society and is strictly against any act of ragging or violence.

The students from the various societies join hands to work together for various events such as annual fest, Holi milan fest, family get together, alumni meets, sports day etc.
