Institute of Computers and Business Management was established in 1989. It is a private college located in Hyderabad. The college is affiliated to Osmania University.
The institute offers PGDM [Post Graduate Diploma in Management] degree which is an AICTE approved Management course. The courses offered are-

Admission to the institute is based on the performance in CMAT/CAT/MAT/ATMA/XAT/SNAP/ other National level entrance tests.
The college has in-campus hostel facilities for boys and girls. The hostels have free Wi-Fi services as well as separate canteens with food at subsidized rates. The institute has a stocked library, auditorium, classes with audio visual equipment and a computer lab. It has an indoor sports complex for chess, table tennis and carom. There is a mini cricket ground and volleyball court as well.
The college has been accredited by AICTE, NHRD, FICCI, AIMS and AIMA. It is the first Business school in Andhra Pradesh and 3rd in India to get the ACBSP, USA accreditation.
Cutoff and Placements
Institute of computers and business management (ICBM) has a dedicated placement cell which is equipped to handle presentations, pre-placement talks, group discussions and all types of Interview sessions.
Placement Procedure
Step 1:-Presentation – the companies participating in the placement drive do their presentations on dates mutually selected by the company and the placement team.
Step 2:- In case the company is unable to visit the campus for the presentation they are supposed to mail their presentation. Based, on this the college organizes interview at the campus or company.
Step 3:- The final placement generally begins at 1st Jan and continues till March.

The college provides 100% placement every year.
It also guarantees placement with a minimum and maximum package of Rs 3 lakhs LPA and 7.5 lakhs LPA respectively. The average annual package is of 4 lakhs.

The University has hostels for both boys and girls. They are fully WiFi enabled. The hostel also has a common dining hall for the students.
The hostel fees can be paid directly at the time of admission along with the course fee or it can also be paid in instalments.

Eligibility
To pursue MBA at ICBM students must satisfy following eligibility criteria.
The minimum qualification to apply for admission to the MBA Program is a Bachelor's Degree (10+2+3 years of education) in any discipline which is recognized by the Association of Indian Universities, or any degree equivalent to the Bachelor's Degree, with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the Secondary / Higher Secondary / Pre-degree Examinations (or equivalent) conducted by a Board / University.
Those appearing for the final year of the Bachelor's degree examinations may also apply subject to completing their examinations or viva-voce, if any, before June 30. Such candidates will however have to fulfil the above eligibility requirements in respect of minimum academic qualifications for admission and furnish evidence to that effect latest by October 31. At the time of interview and/or admissions, they will be required to produce a letter from their College Principal / Head of Institution stating the exam dates.
Candidates with appropriate industry experience will be given preference for admissions. Their work experience will be given due weightage in terms of the organization, position held and duration.
Admission Procedure
Selected candidates will be called to attend Group Discussions and Personal Interviews. Multiple Group Discussion & Personal Interview lists will be released in phases, both before and after the Application Deadline. The intimation for interview & group discussion is done through registered post and e-mail. In the case of some programs, Group Discussion may not be conducted, in favor of a rigorous interview process.
The selection criteria for calling candidates for admissions is based on multiple factors as follows:
- Past academic performance
- Quality & content of the answers in the application form
- Work experience, if any , in terms of job content & organization
- Group Discussion & Interview performance (applicable for final admissions only)
- Extra curricular activities, other interests & accomplishments
- Competitive Test score (CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT)
A combination of all the above factors are used to determine the eligibility of candidates to be offered final admission. Test scores are NOT the only criteria for selection.
A high test score does not guarantee a call for Group Discussion/Interview. The selection criteria are based on multiple factors as mentioned above.
