Dhaanish Ahmed College of Engineering (DACE) was established under the aegis of the Ayyanavaram Educational Trust (AET) which was started in 1980 by the founder Chairman Alhaj.K.Moosa, with a noble aim of promoting Technical Higher Education. The founder Chairman Alhaj.K.Moosa is an Educationalist with rich experience in the education field and also a well known philanthropist, whose focus is to provide quality technical education to the socially and economically backward people. Presently, AET is managing several schools educating around 5000 students and two Engineering Colleges.

DACE has been approved by AICTE, New Delhi and affiliated to Anna University, Chennai,India and was founded in 2002. DACE is an ISO 9001:2015 certified institution. It is offering UG Courses: B.E-Civil Engineering, B.E-Computer Science and Engineering, B.E-Electrical and Electronics Engineering, B.E-Electronics and Communication Engineering, B.E-Mechanical Engineering, B. Tech-Petroleum Engineering PG Courses: M.B.A – Master of Business Administration, M.E – Applied Electronics, M.E – Computer Science and Engineering.

Facilities: All the departments have equipped with resource persons qualified in diversified fields relevant to the branch of Engineering. A centralized computing facility for their students, housing more than 600 high configuration systems in a fully air conditioned location spread over 25000 sq.ft. with net connectivity which ranges 48 Mbps. DACE has a centralized Library with a rich collection of over 30000 volumes of books, 48 journals and magazines in printed form. On line access to journals and magazines is provided with JGATE, DELNET etc.

HOSTEL AND FACILITIES

Located in Chennai, Dhaanish Ahmed College of Engineering, offers all the facilities to its students. The college has a fully residential campus with hostel facilities for both male and female students. The rooms are available on sharing basis. Both the hostels have their own dining mess. Internet facility is also provided to the students living in the hostel.

The campus is environment-friendly with lush green trees and plants. Canteen has the necessary infrastructure and a modern kitchen.

The college has a library, located on the ground floor in E block. Spread over an area of 700 square meter, the library has a good collection of national and international journals. Open Access System is followed in the library to access books and journals.

The classrooms are well equipped with projector screens and desks. A spacious auditorium to hold various expert talks and seminars is also present in the campus. Extensive courts and fields are also present for sports enthusiasts.

The college also provides transportation facilities to the students across many routes from Chennai, Chengalpattu, Kanchipuram, Ennore etc.
