Application and Admission Procedure

The admission procedure is conducted IN BE, ME, MCA and MBA through the fulfilment of the eligibility criteria which are as under:

ELIGIBILITY FOR B.E. COURSE

The admission in this department is done mainly in two ways-

• Convenor’s quota
• Management quota.

The convenor’s quota provides 70% intake in each branch. The candidates applying should have passed the Intermediate examination of the Board of Intermediate Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as optional subjects, or any other examination recognized by the Osmania University in order to sit for the EAMCET examination. The merit secured will determine the admission of the student.

In case of management quota which has an intake of 30% of the students, the admission is on the basis of EAMCET rank or acquiring at least 50% aggregate marks.

ELIGIBILITY FOR M.E. COURSE

The admission for general candidates requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or technology from the Osmania University, AMIE/AMIETE or similar qualification recognised by UPSC and a valid GATE score. However, there are separate eligibility for sponsored students as well.

ELIGIBILITY FOR MCA COURSE

Maths is mandatory to be studied either in the 12^th level or in the graduation level to be eligible for this department. The student should have ICET which is conducted by the AP State Council of Higher Education, Govt of AP as well as satisfy the local/non-local status requirement as laid down in the AP Educational institutions order of 1974.

ELIGIBILITY FOR MBA COURSE

The MBA programme is for 2 years and getting admission to them requires the fulfilment of the following criterion:

• 45% in aggregate in any discipline of bachelor’s degree
• Qualification in ICET exam
• Fulfilling the local/non-local status requirement as laid down in the AP Educational institutions order of 1974
