Vaagdevi College of Pharmacy was established in 1997 with a view to develop a premier educational institution to meet the requirements of pharmaceutical industry and health care profession. It is one of the pioneer colleges affiliated to Kakatiya University, Warangal. The highest level of academic standards, facilities and faculty of the college has been recognized by apex bodies like All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and Pharmacy Council of India (PCI).

The College has been a leader in providing quality education in pharmacy and related allies and works with a vision to create critical thinking, a global perspective and respect for moral values such as honesty and integrity among the prospective pharmacy students for better career opportunities. The under-graduate and post-graduate programs offered by college cover pharmacy practice, pharmaceutical analysis, pharmaceutical biotechnology, pharmacology, pharmacognosy, pharmaceutics and pharmaceutical chemistry.

Vaagdevi College of Pharmacy has digital library set-up that offers for interactive and research-based learning environment for students and allows access to 10,320 books, 40 national and international journals and a huge volumes of E-journals accessible through softwares such as Elsevier, Bentham, DELNET covering spheres of education ranging from Bio-pharmaceutics to heterocyclic chemistry to hospital pharmacy and the like.
