Shri Pillappa College of Engineering was established in 2012 by a social worker called Shri M.E. Pillappa. It is situated in Hesaraghata Hobli in Bangalore. The college is affiliated to the Visvesvaraiah Technological University (VTU) and has the recognition of the Government of Karnataka. It is approved by the AICTE.

The college’s mission includes the inculcation of creativity and confidence in its students to facilitate in-depth research, discover talent and contribute towards the development of society. The motto of the college is education and knowledge is the path to everlasting success.

The campus spreads in a verdant expanse of 18 acres. It is near to the Chikabanavara and Yelahanka railway stations. It has all the residential, medical and security facilities. The whole campus is wifi enabled and has canteens, library, bookshops, labs, auditoriums, transportation availability, hostels and sports grounds.

The college provides Bachelor of Engineering (BE) courses in:

• Computer Science Engineering
• Civil Engineering and more.

The admission is merit based where students should have an aggregate of 45% with science and maths as subjects in intermediate. The rest of the procedure follows the marks in Competitive Entrance Test which is conducted under the aegis of COMED-K and KEA.
