The PERI IT was established in the year 2010 by a trust called Peri Educational and Charitable Trust. This newly developed institute is located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. It is affiliated to the Anna University of Chennai and has been approved by the AICTE. The Institute wishes to turn into a think tank of Engineering, Technology and Science on an International level.

The admission procedure includes having being schooled for 12 years and having 50% marks in each of Physics, Chemistry, Maths at the intermediate level. For M.E. the students must have a relevant Bachelor’s degree.

Hostel and Facilities

Peri Institute of technology provides separate male and female that are situated in the college campus. There are two kinds of room available in the hostel one is shared room in which students have to share room with each other and other is single room. Single rooms are air- conditioned and have attached washroom. Other facilities that the hostel provides are a mess, ac bus for transportation, reading rooms, library, landline telephones, CCTV cameras 24*7 wifi connection and security. Hostel accommodations are allotted to the students on the basis of first come first serve basis.

The institute celebrates cultural and tech fests every year with great enthusiasm. Some of the fests that are celebrated by the college are XHENIOS, annual day and job fair.
