It is a private university which was established in 2000and is affiliated to Rajasthan Technical University. It is accredited by NBA & approved by AICTE and been ranked no.1 by Rajasthan Technical University, Kota.

Application and Admission Procedure
How to Apply
Admission is done strictly offline:
- For B.Tech: Admission is done through a counselling process conducted by the Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process (REAP), and is based on the rank obtained by the applicant in the JEE Mains/10+2 for 85% of total seats. The remaining number of seats will be filled by the institute under Management Quota.
- For M.Tech: Admission is through counselling conducted by CAM based on the rank/ score obtained in graduation/GATE.First preference is given to a valid GATE score.
- For MBA: Admission is done through counselling conducted by the Center for Electronic Governance, Jaipur, based on the score obtained by the applicant in the CMAT for 85% of total seats. The remaining seats are filled by the institute under Management Quota. The institute fills any remaining vacant seats based on the marks the candidate obtained at graduation.
Applicants must fill the forms of the respective institutions, by referring to their respective websites.
Admission Procedure:
Candidates applying to undergraduate programs must have passed class 10+2 (Class XII) or equivalent examination with 45% marks (40% marks if belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC/ SBC).Candidates applying to postgraduate programs should have passed undergraduate (10+2+3) exam or equivalent with 55%marks (or 50% marks in case of candidates belonging to ST/ SC of Rajasthan State).
For admission into B. Tech, the candidate will also have to sit for the JEE Mains test, which will be conducted in April.
For admission into M. Tech, the candidate will also have to sit for the GATE test, which will be conducted in February.
For admission into MBA, the candidate will also have to sit for the CMAT test, which will be conducted in January.
Hostel and Facilities
Hostel
SKIT has top notch hostel facilities separately for both boys and girls. The hostels have an intake capacity of 459 and 261 seats respectively. Hostel rooms are provided on "first cum first serve basis".
Besides, recreational facilitiesincluding a common room for activities, TV room, Indoor Sports room and Gym facility are amongst other facilities. Transportation facilities are also provided if needed.
The total annual fee for hostel (including lodging and boarding) is Rs 90,000. New entrants also have to pay Rs 5,000 as security money, which is refundable at the time of exit.
Campus Facilities
Wifi facility is present throughout the campus. Other than mess facilities, a canteen is also run for the students.
SKIT has an auditorium with a seating capacity for 850 people, a mini open theatre and an Amphitheatre.
A fleet of 16 buses provided by the college for the students has access to every corner of the city.
For all healthcare needs, the college has an ambulance and a visiting doctor

24×7 ATM machines of PNB, SBI, IndusInd and Vijaya Bank are available inside the campus.Laundry and stationery store facilities are also present.
SKIT has indoor and outdoor sports facilities also including Lawn tennis, football ground, badminton, basketball etc.
It also has a developed a central computing facility, having more than 1050 computers.

Eligibility
To pursue MBA at SKIT students must satisfy following eligibility criteria.
The minimum qualification to apply for admission to the MBA Program is a Bachelor's Degree (10+2+3 years of education) in any discipline which is recognized by the Association of Indian Universities, or any degree equivalent to the Bachelor's Degree, with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the Secondary / Higher Secondary / Pre-degree Examinations (or equivalent) conducted by a Board / University.
Those appearing for the final year of the Bachelor's degree examinations may also apply subject to completing their examinations or viva-voce, if any, before June 30. Such candidates will however have to fulfil the above eligibility requirements in respect of minimum academic qualifications for admission and furnish evidence to that effect latest by October 31. At the time of interview and/or admissions, they will be required to produce a letter from their College Principal / Head of Institution stating the exam dates.
Candidates with appropriate industry experience will be given preference for admissions. Their work experience will be given due weightage in terms of the organization, position held and duration.
Admission Procedure
Selected candidates will be called to attend Group Discussions and Personal Interviews. Multiple Group Discussion & Personal Interview lists will be released in phases, both before and after the Application Deadline. The intimation for interview & group discussion is done through registered post and e-mail. In the case of some programs, Group Discussion may not be conducted, in favor of a rigorous interview process.
The selection criteria for calling candidates for admissions is based on multiple factors as follows:
- Past academic performance
- Quality & content of the answers in the application form
- Work experience, if any , in terms of job content & organization
- Group Discussion & Interview performance (applicable for final admissions only)
- Extra curricular activities, other interests & accomplishments
- Competitive Test score (CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT)
A combination of all the above factors are used to determine the eligibility of candidates to be offered final admission. Test scores are NOT the only criteria for selection.
A high test score does not guarantee a call for Group Discussion/Interview. The selection criteria are based on multiple factors as mentioned above.
Remarks
The faculty of the college fore me was good though i dont think many will agree with me as they were strict and most students were scared of them but since i was a good and bright students they loved and always pushed me towards my dreams.
Entrance Exam
I got admitted into the college based on my high school marks and the JEE main marks. Then I was called for counseling where I chose my branch. It was an easy process and i didnt feel much difficulty.
Fees
Placements
Top recruitment companies are IMB, Wipro, TCs and more. Almost 90% of the student get placed. The average package is around 3 lakhs and highest was around 6 lakhs. BUt now think this has improved even more.
Hostel and Facilities
The college is ok but students can go for nearby PG’s as well as per their budget. The rent of the PG is around 5k depending on locality. The food of the hostel is not great.
Alumni
The alumni come for talks and workshops. They give us industry insights and other corporate information.
Faculty
The faculty uses modern techniques of education. All of the teachers are well qualifies and knowledgeable. They not only help us in class but also outside the class.
Campus Life
The college has a mix of student from various cultures, states and even countries therefore we get a good exposure. The college has strict anti ragging policies and racism policies.
Academics
Just like very other colleges we also have mid sem and end sem exams. The students have to pass both of them. Students need to clear both theory and practical exams. Student with low attendance are not allowed to sit in the exam. The syllabus is prepared keeping in mind the upcoming trend in the respective industry. Faculty follow a set syllabus.
Internships
The college does provide summer training facilities to those students who are interested. Internship were not provided during my time but now things might have changed from now.
Loans and Scholarships
Top ranking students on the basis of JEE exam are given scholarships. Also once admitted in the college, the batch toppers are given some fee waivers.
