Vivekanand Education Societys Institute Of Technology (VESIT) Mumbai

The institution was established in 1984 as a derivative of Vivekanand Education Society founded in 1959 by Shri Hashu Advani and others. It is affiliated to the University of Mumbai and follows guidelines laid down by the university, the AICTE and the government.

Housed in an area of 3, 75, 000 square feet, it comprises six departments which provide undergraduate and postgraduate education to students, mainly focused on fields of engineering and computer applications.

It is equipped with state-of-the-art laboratories and encouraging programmes for research that help its students bag prominent fellowship programmes.

It aims to impart quality education to its students through an innovative and practical approach in order to instil value-based learning in students who can be enabled to work towards their chosen goals with excellence and professionalism.

The college is deemed is one the preferred institutions for students looking for quality education under the University of Mumbai for the last thirty-three years.

Hostel

The college campus is spacious, clean and serene. It has brilliant Labs facilitated by USA, Counselling Centre and an Amphi Theatre.

The hostels are separated for boys and girls. They have furnished rooms, 24/7 water and electricity supply, good mess facilities with nutritious food and water availability, it has an Indoor games room for games like Table Tennis, Carrom and Can and for Outdoor games there is a huge playground.

The hostel also has a TV room for relaxation and enjoyment.

Other facilities:

The college has a Library with good collection of resources and over 40000 books, vast Playgrounds and a great Placement Cell. There are Anti-Harassment and Anti-ragging committees on the campus as well.

For mental satisfaction and professional progression of students there are academic clubs such as the Indian Society for Technical Education, Computer Society of India etc.

There is a Social Responsibility Team which works for societal issues. The college also holds inter college fests such as the MANZAR, ILLUSION’15 etc. The annual cultural festival of the college is called UTSAV and the Tech Fest is called PRAXIS.
