Mumbai, perhaps owing to its metropolitan nature and wide spread industrialization has become an excellent hub for education. The fees at the colleges have to be usually paid by Demand Draft, for example: the fee at NMIMS has to be paid favoring “SVKM’s NMIMS” payable at Mumbai only. The fee at University Of Mumbai, can be paid through Debit/ Credit cards, or through Bank Challans Bank of Maharashtra only.
NMIMS offers various courses, including both 1 year and 2 year courses specializing Human Resource, Supply Chain Management, International Trade Management, Banking and Finance, Finance Management, etc. Welingkar’s Institute on the other hand offers course specialization in Health Management, Supply chain Management, International Business, E-commerce, Retail Management, Agri-business, and other routine specializations. Similarly, University Of Mumbai offers PGDM courses only in Financial Management, and Operations Management.
Admission to the University of Mumbai, Distance Learning is through an online process, with more details available at www.mahaonline.gov.in or www.mu.ac.in/idol. The students then need to produce attested copies of required documents for acceptance. NMIMS also follows an online admission process; the students have to fill in the admission form, and will be allotted an enrolment number. The students then have to pay the admission processing fees and produce the required documents at the information center, and then pay the course fees on approval. Other institutions usually follow a walk-in process.
