IIM Lucknow is a premier management institute located in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. It was the fourth IIM to be established in 1981, and offers various Post-graduate diploma, Doctorate programs and Executive programs. IIM Lucknow offers various programs for working executives –

International Program in Management for Executives (IPMX) is a one-year, full time, residential course offered by IIM Lucknow designed for mid/senior level executives in managerial or professional positions. The course is offered at the Noida campus. The course was first offered in 2008, It accredited by Association of MBAs (AMBA).

IPMX Course Structure

The course content is delivered through live class lectures, class discussions, seminars, live and simulated assignments and field projects. The entire one-year course is broken into four terms, with core subjects in the first two terms, and elective subjects in the last two terms.

Furthermore, the course also includes an overseas module for international study tours covered in third term. The course also include an individual or group project.

The entire course has 23.5 credits which are divided as follows –

Students can also opt for CIS (Course of Independent Study) in term 4 in worth 1.0 credit in the place of electives.

PGPWE Course Structure

The PGPWE program has 7 terms spread over 2 years. The first year has 4 terms and second year has 3 terms. Since this is a part-time program, students need to visit the campus on weekends. Each term has 7 such campus visits. Students visit the campus on Friday afternoon and return on Sunday afternoon.

The course has 28 credits.

Document submission

Along with the online application, the candidate needs to upload scanned copies of following documents –

• GMAT Entrance exam score
• Signature of the candidate
• Recent passport size photo
• SSC/HSC/Bachelor’s Degree Markseets and Degree Transcripts
• Cast / Community Certificate for SC/ST/NC-OBC
• Certificate of Disability for PWD candidates
• Experience certificate or payslips from the previous employer. Self-employed candidates can submit a personal declaration mentioning exact dates of employment.

Please note the candidates also need to produce the original copies of these documents at the time of interview.

There is no application fee and application has to be submitted online.

Candidates need to mention the email id and contact details for recommendation. The referees will receive an email with a link to submit their recommendations.

Admission Procedure for IIM Lucknow Executive MBA

IPMX Admission Procedure

The institute only takes a small batch of 70 students and therefore has a very selective procedure of admission.

The institution looks for a diverse batch of students for its IPMX course. The admission into the course is decided by an admission committee that recommends a student based on his strengths as portrayed in the application. The candidate must have the following specifics:

• Solid Academic Background
• More than 5 years of Professional experience
• GMAT Entrance exam score (Average previous year: 700)

Based on the GMAT score, candidates are shortlisted for a written ability test followed by a personal interview.

Upon completion of written test and personal interview, each candidate is assigned a score. The score is calculated based on GMAT score, Academic and Professional Profile, Written Test and Personal Interview –

Finally, the institution announces the selected candidates and prepares a merit list.

Eligibility Criteria for IIM Lucknow Executive MBA

IPMX Eligibility Criteria

The institute specifies the following eligibility criteria for admissions into the IPMX course:

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a 10+2+3 year education pattern, with minimum 50% marks or equivalent CGPA
• GMAT score (test should have been taken in last 5 years)
• Minimum of 5-years full time post-qualification managerial of professional experience as on 31st March.

The institute does not specify any kind of relaxation to reserved category students, and the admission procedure is completely merit based.

PGPWE Eligibility Criteria

To become eligible for PGPWE program at IIM Lucknow, the student must satisfy following criteria

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with minimum 50% marks or equivalent CGPA
• Entrance Score – Valid GMAT, CAT – 2021,2022, GATE – 2022, 2023
• Institutes also conducts its own entrance test on its campus in December. Candidates without valid score for any of the other accepted tests can sit for the PGPWE Entrance Exam at IIML campus.
• Work Experience – The candidate must have at least 3 years of valid work experience as of 31st March 2024.

IPMX Fee Structure

The total fee for the IIM Lucknow Executive MBA (IPMX) course is Rs.26,00,000/- for the 2023- 24 batch. The fee includes cost of tuition, course material library, international study tour, career counseling, student activities, accommodation and mess expenses, etc.

Furthermore, the student is required to pay an amount of Rs.20, 000/- as a refundable deposit for security. The entire fee paid in installments or in a lump sum is non-refundable.
