ISB Executive MBA (PGPMAX)-Admissions 2024, Fee Structure, Eligibility, Placements

Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad is a private business school in India, established in 2001 by senior executives of McKinsey & Company, has its branches in Hyderabad and Mohali. Known to be the youngest school to be ranked in the global MBA rankings, the school breeds finesse in its students. ISB is the first Indian Business School to be accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).

Salient Features of ISB Executive MBA

• Global Faculty – The program has senior faculty from ISB and other global business schools. The faculty has extensive experience in academics and industry.
• Peer Group – The program admits around 70 students and average word-experience is 18 years. CXOs constitute 10% of the class and Marketing and General Management are largest represented functional areas among the students. Students stay on campus to network with peers and faculty members.
• Two international immersion in USA and Asia – students undergo two international immersion programs of 1 week each in Asia and USA
• Minimal disruption to work – The program allows candidates to earn an MBA degree with minimum disruption to their work.

Course Structure

The PGPMAX (Postgraduate Program in Management for Senior Executives) is a part time classroom based 15-month course designed for senior executives (with more than 10 years of work experience). The classes are held at ISB campus, Hyderabad, and the student will receive a certificate of completion of course by the Institution.

However, two terms of the course are International Immersion terms, with International study time at Kellogg School, and Wharton School of Business.

The program duration is 12 weeks spread over 15 months. The candidates will be on the campus for a week every 6th week. During this week the candidates will attend classes during the day, attend guest session, complete group projects during the evening. In addition, they will also appear for quizzes and complete assignments. The candidates will stay on the campus during this time.

Besides the on-campus learning, the students are expected to spend around 8 – 10 hours per week for the course, while the rigorous course includes various modules of learning:

How to Apply?

To apply for ISB Executive MBA, the candidates must submit at online application – https://pgpmax.isb.edu/user/default.aspx The institutes only accepts online application and offline applications are not accepted. Students are advised to review application properly before submitting it.

The application for the 2023-24 batch are available online from September 1, 2022.

The candidate is required to scan and upload the following documents along with the application:

• Passport photocopy
• Color photograph
• CV / Resumes
• Bachelor’s degree mark sheets/transcripts (for all semesters/years)
• Bachelor’s Degree Certificate
• Mark sheets/transcripts and certificates for additional education (if applicable)
• Proof of income (latest salary slip or form 16)
• Company Support Letter (not applicable to self-employed candidates or business owners)
• Organization Chart
• Two Professional Recommendations from current/previous supervisors

The candidates need to submit a letter of support from the current employer indicating that the employer’s consent to allow candidates to enroll into the program. The letter also needs to specify if the employer will sponsor the candidate or allow candidate to take time off for the program.

The candidates also need to submit two letters of recommendations from their current or former employer. The letter should follow the format prescribed in the online application. Business owners and self-employed candidates can get the letters of recommendations from vendors / partners.

The application fee to apply for the ISB executive MBA (PGPMAX) is Rs.10,000/- for the first round and Rs.15,000/- for the second round.

Admission Procedure

The admission to the PGPMAX is highly selective and is offered based on a holistic review of the candidate. The institute seeks candidates with well-rounded profile.

Eligibility Criteria

Although the selection criteria is rigorous, the institute specifies minimal admission criteria for admission into the PGPMAX course as below:

• The applicant must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any discipline.
• Equivalent qualification includes CA, ICWA etc and is left to admission committee’s discretion.
• The candidates must have at least 10 years of full-time experience as on program start date.
• A letter of consent from current employer needs to be submitted along with the application or once the admission is confirmed.

Fee Structure

Total fee for ISB executive MBA (PGPMAX) for 2023-24 is Rs.41,63,000/- This includes admission fee, tuition fee, course material fee, boarding and lodging charges.

Students also need to pay a refundable deposit of Rs.20,000/- at the time of admission. This is in addition to the course fee and the deposit will be refunded on the completion of the course after deducting any outstanding dues.

The students also need to pay one-time non-refundable charges of Rs.25,000/- (+GST) for alumni membership.

The students also need to pay Rs.15,000/- (+GST) for life time membership of recreation center.

Additional expenses of around Rs.3,00,000/- may also be incurred for travel to Hyderabad, Airfare for International Immersion, Accommodation during Field Trips, etc.

Important Dates

Last date to apply for ISB Executive MBA (PGPMAX) class of 2022-23 is 6th November 2022 for round 1 and 19th March 2023 for Round 2.

Placement

Since, the course is targeted towards senior executives and Business Owners, the institute does not provide any Placement support and assistance. Further, as the student is required to produce a “Time off from Work” from the current employer, the institute respects the company’s support and does not offer placements. Also, the companies at the higher senior positions are employed through headhunting, and campus placements often prove unnecessary.
