Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies (SSCBS) was established in the year 1987 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development. The college was developed as the first collegiate business college of the country.
The college is constituent to Delhi University and falls under the Faculty of Management Sciences. The college is situated in the North Campus of Delhi University.
The college comes under the top five colleges of the north campus of Delhi University. The courses offered by the college include:
- Bachelor of Management Studies
- Bachelor of Business Administration
- Bachelor of Science.
The college is a renowned and reputed college and offers good placements to its students. The top recruitment companies include American Express, HSBC, JP Morgan, DLF, Ernst and Young and Pepsico India.
The college organizes a lot of activities for its students to help them to interact with each other and develop communicative and leadership skills among themselves.
Application and Admission Procedure
How to Apply
The application process is conducted offline. Candidates must collect the prospectus and admission form from the college campus at Rohini, New Delhi, after paying the application fees, and must fill in the required information and submit the form within a given period of time.
Short-listed candidates will have to appear for the counselling process held at the college campus on a given date along with necessary documents, i.e. original mark sheets of 10th and 12th, transfer certificate, character certificate, category certificate, nationality certificate, and passport size photographs.
Admission Procedure
Admission to B. Tech and B. Sc (Hons) courses is based on merit (10+2 with PCM marks), followed by scoring on the Entrance Examination conducted by the University of Delhi.
Admission to BBA, BMS and BFIA courses is based on merit as well (10+2 marks in any stream), as well as scoring in the DU-JAT entrance exam followed by counselling.
Hostel and Facilities
Hostel facilities:
Accommodation: The SSCBS new campus (Rohini) has separate hostel facility for boys and girls with a capacity of around 1000 students which has become operational from 2017-18. Hostels are fully furnished and spacious with on-campus mess facility. Apart from the hostels the students also have the option of choosing to stay in PG’s nearby where the average rent is Rs. 10000 per month.
Other Facilities:
- SSCBS has one of the most renowned placement facility within Delhi. Companies like Bain & Co., McKinsey, KPMG, Smart Cube, Bloomberg, Blackrock etc. have offered jobs during the on-campus placements. A special feature of their placement cell is also the ‘Resume Authentication’ process.
- Several Active Student Societies – The SSCBS has around 26 societies. The good thing is most of them have carved a nitch for themselves. Blitz and Jhankar (Dance), Communique (Promotion Cell), Darkroom (Photography), Dhwami (Music), Enactus (Social Entrepreneurship), Ecovison (Economics) etc.
- Adrenaline is the annual sports fest of SSCBS, spanning as long as for 25 days continuously in the month of January–February. The winter Olympics of CBS accommodates 16 Events in 7 Sports – namely Volleyball, Soccer, Cricket (CCL), Athletics, Table Tennis, Badminton & Chess

There is evrything good for this collge just one thing the infrastructure can me made better rest the collge is very good. College management is good they never denies any work when we contact them for any work they are very helpful all college staffs are good and very caring.

Actually i got a admission through cut off in Computer science of this college which is under Delhi university i scored abopve the cut oof and got admission post a personal interview.

College have a good fee structure my college is a part of delhi university but owned by delhi's goverment thats why my college fees is feasible for students for those students who can arrange the fees college also provide scholarship for them
Placements
Many companies likes KPMG, Google, Ernst & Young, Mckinsey & co and many more companies came to campus and offer around package of 6-20 lakhs. In my batch almost all of the students got placed.
Hostel and Facilities
Yes, there are nice and proper norms that help us get healthy food and we are able to survive it with nutritious values. Actually no hostel facility is available students live in various pg's nearby and pg's are affordable fees of the college is less only as college is under Delhi university and funded by Delhi state government.
Alumni
College alumni and senior students always have a good behaviour to their juniors. Juniors enjoy with seniors, they studies with them, play with them we live as a family in college we have always good interaction and relations with seniors and alumnis.
Faculty
This is one of the good colege with highly educated faculty. They help me understand each and every thing by detail. The teachers are generous with deeper knowledge
Campus Life
Yes, the life is pretty great. The extra curriculum is the heart of this college and as mentioned earlier that makes our college full and happy life. debates and learning activities are hell lot in our college. Parties held are Freshers party, farewell party and annual day function and they are really managed very well there by the various socities in our college
Academics
Yes, there are proper exams condition and they are also well maintained. We have a strict time table and every student very dedicately follows it too. Exams are held every 6 months.
Internships
No, I have not yet done any kind of internship. But the people I knw have a great stipened offered. Around 10-15 thousand per month. And they also enjoy their work.
