Remarks
Education and exposure wise my experience has been really good. College infrastructure can be improved however minimum required facilities are available. Hostel facilities have a good scope of improvement. College management is pretty average as far as permanent faculty is considered however the visiting faculty of college give a very good direction to the overall management of the college.
Entrance Exam
The college conducts its own entrace test for admission into the college. A candidate need to clear that exam to apply for admission.JBIMS is one of the best business school in India and its located in commercial hub so that was the main reason to apply for this college.
Fees
I have paid around Rs 1 lakh annually as the fee towards my course. This does not include other expenses like laptop and other study expenses etc which needs to be paid additionally. People living in hostel has to bear additional hostel expenses towards stay and food.
Placements
Placements are quite good. All the students were placed. All the good companies from finance, marketing and other areas like HUL, Mackensy, P&G, City, J P morgan etc. have come. For more reference you can refer the college website. The payment varied according to companies. Average package at my time was around 8 to 9 lac. Highest going upto 16 lac for domestic and 26 lac for international placements.
Hostel and Facilities
I was not part of hostel. But my college friends stayed there. Its a government hostel near church-gate station. Hostel rooms are average and food is also average. However there are lot of food options available nearby. Hostel rooms are limited so people from out of Mumbai can only be accommodated. Rentals are very low and manageable.
Alumni
College alumni is the strongest point of college. Quiet a good alumni interaction. Most of the visiting faculty are alumni. Seniors are helpful.
Faculty
Visiting professors are extremely good. Permanent faculty is average. All the professors are well qualified. They have very good hold of the subject and share their industry experiences. Their methodology of teaching is extremely good. Also they come from a very high positions from the industry to provide an exhaustive view of any subject.
Campus Life
The gender for my batch during my time was the lowest. It wws like 1:6 types. Labs are average. The Library has variety and exhaustive types of books but the library infra is average. Sports are not much part of the college. Events are already explained early.
Academics
The exam structure was interesting and not hectic. If one is well prepared then its an enjoyable experience. The exam halls are mostly from the school or colleges. The people who got MBA, engineering colleges as centre have got better facilities like ac rooms etc. compared to people who got schools as their exam centre.
Internships
Yes there is an internship of approx. 2 months. Stipend depends on the companies. The average stipend offered during my time was around Rs 8-15k.
Loans and Scholarships
As the fees of the college are very low there are no scholarships required and available. However bank loans are easily available.
