The Maharashtra Institute of Technology has been affiliated to the University of Pune and recognized by the Government of Maharashtra and the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE).

They offer four year degree courses in various branches of engineering as well as post graduate courses in selected disciplines.
The courses offered for under graduate programmes are civil engineering, mechanical engineering, Information Technology etc. and post graduate programmes in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, and Polymer Engineering etc.
Students of the institute are been placed in various companies including Amdocs, Barclays, Apollo Tyres, , etc.
Application and Admission Procedure
Interested students can apply for the above-mentioned courses via the online portal available on its official website. The completed form should be submitted online by paying an application fee of Rs.1500/-. The form also requires the students to fill the test scores obtained in the entrance examinations according to the course applied for.
The entrance examinations to be taken for different courses are mentioned below:
- JEE Main or MH-CET – B.Tech admissions
- GATE examination – M.Tech
- PET – MIT entrance test – B.B.A, B.Sc, B.C.A, B.Com
- MS-CET test – M.C.A, M.Sc
The UGPET and the MS-CET exams are conducted by the MAEER’S college and require candidates to pay an application fee of Rs.1000/-, while for the rest of the courses the fee amount is Rs.1500/-.
Upon completing the form, the 10th std, 12th std mark sheets, semester scorecards, UG degree, and the qualifying entrance examination score card should be uploaded online before making the payment.
Admissions for the M.B.A program requires shortlisted candidates to attend a group discussion / personal interview round, while for the rest of the courses admission will be made based on the entrance examination marks and prior academic performance.

The college provides safe secure and excellent hostels for both boys and girls, at a walking distance from the MIT campus. The boys’ hostel is a four storey building with 20 rooms on each floor. It can house 240 students. The girls’ hostel located in Indrayani building can accommodate 80 students.
