Central University Of Jharkhand (CUJ) Ranchi

The Central University of Jharkhand was established by the Indian Parliament under the Central University Act, 2009. The University started with an aim to help students grow with the technology and teach the future about the modern technology through excellent education. The University encourages the new ideas, innovations and thoughts both in the field of Education and research.

The University offers 5-year integrated UG/PG and Ph.D. program in almost all its Schools/ Centers of studies in more than 20 fields. It also offers certain certification and diploma courses to the students. The University organizes Common Entrance Test for admissions to all its courses.

As the University is located in Jharkhand, the study of culture is an important goal of the University. And it is a Centre for Indigenous Culture Studies, Centre for Tribal & Customary Law, and Centre for Tribal Folklore, Language & Literature and Music & Performing Arts.

The University is a renowned University and both the students along with the faculty members have won several National and International Awards.

Application and Admission Procedure

APPLICATION PROCESS

• Admission in any disciple is on the basis of CUCET (Central University Common Entrance Test)
• For some courses the exam may be followed by an interview
• Application is only submitted online
• Application fee for General category is Rs800/- (online and Rs850/-(through Challan)
• Application fee for Reserved category is Rs350/- (online and Rs400/-(through Challan)

ADMISSION PROCEDURE

• Register yourself at the CUCET site
• Fill in all the registration details and academic qualifications
• Upload passport size photo and signature (according to the requirement)
• Enter University name and program details
• Pay the application fee and submit the form
• Download the admit card on the due date
• Give the examination at the chosen test center
• Counseling is held individually by the university
• Seats are provided according to the rank in CUCET
• Pay the course fee and get enrolled

Hostel and Facilities

Campus Facilities

The central university of Jharkhand was established by an act of parliament in 2009. Its campus includes modern up to date infrastructure. Various infrastructural facilities are interactive classrooms, research labs, engineering workshops and linguistic labs.

Other facilities include state of the art gymnasium hall, auditorium with seating capacity of 400 students, outdoor and indoor sports facility, canteen, guest house, and dispensary.

Hostel Facility

Separate hostels are available for girls and boys which can accommodate around 1000 students. Research scholar’s hostel is built separately. There is also an option of reserving single transit rooms with attached toilets.

Each room is provided with a bed, chair, computer table and a cupboard. Other facilities in hostel include mess, recreational room, regular newspapers and magazines and RO purified drinking water.

Student Activity

Other extracurricular activities include annual cultural and technological events, formal and informal seminars and annual sports meet.
