APG University is a private university located in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. The university was established in 2012 by A.P. Goyal Charitable Trust. The university offers courses in Law, Fashion, Design, Architecture, Management, Tourism, mass communication and Technology and Engineering.
The university is approved by UGC. It has approval from Bar Council of India (BCI) for law programs. Council of Architecture (COA) has approved it 5 year BArch program.
The university conducts a skill development program on its campus on Saturday to make backward students more competent.
The university has a strong focus on learning outside the classroom. It encourages the students to participate in field word and undertake internships in their area of study. University also conducts seminars and guest lectures regularly.
The university admits students through entrance tests like CAT, MAT, JEE and ZET.

How to apply:
The candidates interested can apply at AP Goyal Shimla University via both Online as well as Offline mode.
The online procedure requires registration of the candidate. The candidate after successful registration can fill the application form and submit it as well as the application fees via online mode.
For offline procedure, the candidate needs to take the print out of the application form and after filling it up need to post it along with the application fees in demand draft in favour of A P Goyal Shimla University.

Admission Procedure:
The students willing to apply for Under-graduate courses needs to complete Class 12th and for Post-graduation courses should have Bachelor’s degree in the same discipline.
The students willing to apply for the Bachelor’s in Engineering and Architecture need to qualify the JEE Main and NATA examination.
For Master’s in Technology and Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) the candidate must have valid score card of GATE and CMAT or CAT, XAT, MAT.
Though the candidates should note that, the selection procedure of various other courses is done strictly on the basis of performance in the exam conducted by the university.
Hostel and Facilities
Hostel
The University has a separate hostel section under their management providing boarding for boys and girls. The accommodation amenities include cafeteria, round the clock medical facility, solar water heaters, television, indoor games and outdoor games like Volleyball, Badminton, chess, and carrom.
The hostel students are also taken on excursions on a weekly and monthly basis. While selecting hostel, students can choose both Veg or Non-veg package and rooms with wash room or for common wash room.
Other Facilities
The University provides dynamic sporting and adventure facilities for the students to develop team building, to de-stress, to build leadership qualities and for time management.
The sport club has amenities for Boxing, Volleyball, Basketball, Mountain and Nature Trekking, Zipline, Reppelling, Burma Bridge, horse riding, skiing, Yoga Hall and indoor gaming facilities such as Billiards, Snooker, table tennis, and a fully functional Gymnasium.

Eligibility
1) 3 year Law Degree Course - A candidate who has graduated in any discipline from a recognized University can appear for L.L.B. course
2) Integrated Degree Program - Candidate must have passed 10+2 Higher Secondary Exam or an exam cosidered to be equivalnt to 10+2 Higher Secondary Exam can enrol for integrated degree program (LLB and a first degree in any other subject).
Candidates who have obtained 10+2 Higher secondary exam certificate or a graduate degree after taking up other courses through distance mode are also considered eligible for integrated degree course. But those candidates who have obtained 10+2 Higher secondary exam certificate or a graduate degree through distance mode or from open universities without any basic qualification are not eligible for admission into law courses.

1) 40% for SC/ST candidates
2) 45% for other candidates

Remarks
I would like to thank the college as well as the management and students who have any so much to do with the person i am today. Each and every training session was very helpful to get the practical approach of the industry. As well as extra curricular activities and the peer group has always me to excel in my age of interest. The quality of education is premium as well as personality development is of optimum level.
Entrance Exam
For admission into the MBA course of it by the college entrance exam and in which i have scored good marks. Also it is necessary to have around 50% in your graduation. The Ask college is one of the best in the state and also provide quality education.
Fees
i cannot say for everybody but for me the fee structure who's not that expensive as compared to the faculty and facilities that have been provided by the college. I have piad around 80k yearly though some additional charges need to paid for expenses like laundry, examination fee etc
Placements
the college desperate placement facilities do with students. Student get a lot opportunities for future. Over 150 students are placed every year. The best part is the college is not leave you on your own when it comes to placement it provides you with a great knowledge as well as mock interviews, skill development classes, aptitude test.
Hostel and Facilities
College provides hostel facilities. Separate hostel facility for girls and boys operated by the college. Here food is great with a proper dining area which can accommodate more than 200 students. The food is nutritious and healthy.
Alumni
The alumni are very helpful. In times for college placement they guide us. Seniors are very friendly and guide us like a teacher. And he says any kind of difficulty in the campus they always there help us out. The even help us with our projection presentations and during the placements is well.
Faculty
The teachers where are very helpful and there is no bias on any level to any student. Most of them treat students like their own child. I am very happy with the way they handle situations and help students. You can even meet them before exam and they will for sure help you. There even accessible the time of exams.
Campus Life
The college road lot of extra curricular activities and faculty are well educated in experience. The surrounding of the college are very green and paceful. And college believes in having eco friendly environment which is not only good for the health but also for the mental peace. Campus life of the college is also great. The college also celebrates most of the festivals and even equal importance to all students. All i would rate it at around 9 out of 10.
Academics
the worst part about the college is the attendance rule. Over 75 percent can only give the exams if you do not have enough attendance the college will not let us exams in any case. College follows the semester system and it also has project, group assignments, and semesters. Exam pattern is pretty predictable.
Internships
The college provides internships opportunities to the students. It has both local as well as international internships. This type varies from company to company and stipend offered is anywhere between rupees 5000 to 20000.
Loans and Scholarships
Loan the college provide scholarship facilities to military students as well as students who belong to reserved categories that is scheduled caste and scheduled tribe students. The documentation process take some time as the college only provides scholarship after verifying all your documents. Scholarship amount ranges from 20 person to 80 percent of the fees. I do not have much info about the loan facilities
Remarks
The best thing that the college is the infra. It is very beautiful. All the classrooms are very spacious and air conditioned. Classrooms are audio-visual. My college experience is one of the best experiences of my life. The college is ragging free. On class hours, every student should maintain strictly the college discipline.
Entrance Exam
Students have to fill up online application form before the admission. A candidate must pass 10+2 in Science, Arts, Commerce or any other equivalent stream. I did not have to give any entrance test but you have to give a personal interview. For admission in this course, a candidate must be intermediate passed with minimum50% marks from any recognized.
Fees
The fee for my course of the college is pretty reasonable as per me. Though i cannot speak for everybody as everone have different financial backgrounds. Also there is some scholarship which you can avail which will further reduce your fee amount.
Placements
Our college placement cell invites only reputed industry and organizations for Interview. The placement of the college is close to 100%.
Hostel and Facilities
Being a day scholar i dont have much information about the hostel facilities. But yes i had some friends there who were pretty much fine with the hostel facility provided also some of them who wanted more preedom later changed to PG;s nearby as they had more freedom there.

Some of our Alumnus are still in touch with college union society and governing body.They always help us regarding any matter.The things about college which we can not ask our faculty, we can clear it from College Alumni.

Our faculty is quite dedicated to teaching their specialized subjects. They are always ready to answer any doubts and questions of the student.All the faculty members of our college really motivate us.They all are dedicated towards teaching and help us in solving our confusions and doubts.In the time of placements also, they really motivate and influence us.

All the classrooms are fully air-conditioned and proper sitting arrangements for both boys and girls.Our college maintains full discipline for every student.Hostel warden is very good human being.He always looks after the needs of every student in the hostel.

Management of the college is great and helpful in every way. Faculty of the college is also very supportive as well as the teaching methods of a remote in. I do not have any better mark about the college.

the college provides hostels and rooms are provided on single as well as sharing basis. The facilities of the collage art the premium. My hostel life experience experience and i will remember throughout my life. We had a lot of fun as well as they were various activities also provided including inter hostel competitions etc.

The alumni has been great and helpful in the college they have guided me that my career path and whatever i am today is because of my alumni. Also they help me a lot during the placement season and help me with the choice of companies i should go for.

faculty of the college is great as well as knowledgeable. They are very qualified with degrees from top instutions of the country. They all have masters degrees in their field as well as most of them are either PHF dolders or are pusuing PHD

I got to meet a lot of people from different parts of the country and some of them are even friends with me till today. Almost all religious festivals celebrated here they were there is no discrimination on any basis. The college also has all the basic facility is which will be required by student. It
Academics
exam structure is a bit hectic as they are like projects warming group assignments, project work, class participation extra. It became predictable sometimes but sometimes they are things which are not in parts of syllabus. They give sufficient gap between each exam.
Internships
The college provided internship opportunities and some of students also got placed in companies where they did internship. Yes stipend is also provided but the amount depends upon the company. The best part is some of my friends even more hired by the company they interned for which is great.
Loans and Scholarships
Yes the college does offer scholarship to student based on their score or also to the students who do not belong to financial strong families but hope to become the best of them. I don’t know much about the loan facilities as i paid my fee upfront.
