Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture & Fine Arts University (JNAFAU) is an Architecture and Fine Arts University situated in Hyderabad, Telangana. This autonomous government university was established in 2008 by the Act of Andhra Pradesh Legislature No. 31.

It has 2 colleges namely School of Planning & Architecture and College of Fine Arts. Through these colleges, it offers Undergraduate, Post Graduate and Ph.D research programs in various disciplines of Design with the objective of providing a systematic education in Arts and Architecture.

It offers total 21 courses in UG, PG and Ph.D research level.

The University has its own campus and provides a good academic and extra-curricular environment. It is well-equipped with modern amenities like hostels, cafeteria, sports complex, library, computer centre, well equipped lab etc. that. The campus is surrounded by beautiful green surroundings.

The gateway in the various courses of this university is NATA (National level Entrance Test for Design programs), TS EAMCET and PG ECET (state level Entrance Test). Foreign country nationals and NRI’s can also get admission in this university.

Application and Admission Procedure

The University offers a number of UG/PG and doctorate level programs in the field of Fine Arts and Architecture. The score of NATA, EAMCET and PGECET are considered for admissions. For admissions to Ph.D. level, there is a written test accompanied by a personal. Selection to the B.Design, M.F.A and B.F.A. is done on the basis of performance of entrance examination conducted by the University. On the basis of the entrance exam and qualifying exam a merit list is prepared through which seats are allotted.

Hostel:

Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts University campus is surrounded by beautiful greenery. This university provides hostel facility to a very limited number of students.

All rooms are well maintained, spacious, airy and with all basic facilities such as 24 hours water supply, electricity supply etc. It has a mess and a canteen which server good and fresh food.

Other Facilities:

This university has a very well managed computerized library which has a great collection of Architecture and Planning related books apart from the books there is a huge collection of CD’s and Video Tapes. Besides that, it has well equipped and extraordinary labs which have all modern required equipment.

There are various cells such as QIP cell which helps to upgrade the faculty, ISC cell it functions as a main revenue generation unit and Placement Cell. This placement cell helps the students to acquire their dream job.
