It is a public university which is approved and recognized by UGC and NAAC. Established in 1998, the university is located in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. Also known as Rajiv Gandhi Technological University, the state technical university was established under the Madhya Pradesh Vidhan Sabha Act 13 and was named after the former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi.

There are 227 RGPV Affiliated engineering institutions, 95 RGPV Affiliated pharmacy institutions, 97 RGPV Affiliated MCA institutions, 5 affiliated architecture institutions and 1 affiliated diploma institution. It has been accredited with an A grade by the NAAC team.

The motto of the university is to provide excellent technical education along with research and innovation to the students. The institute is famous for providing various post graduate, polytechnic, and graduate and under graduate courses to the students. The urban campus of the university is located in the midst of the beautiful and hilly surroundings.

Application and Admission Procedure

How to Apply

Candidates can apply to RGPV through offline mode. Candidates can either download the form from the official site. They can also obtain the same from the University office. Candidates need to fill the form correctly and affix a recent passport size photo. The candidates need to submit the following documents along with the admission form:

• Attested copy 10th and 10+2 Mark sheet
• Bachelor’s degree and mark sheet, Master’s degree and mark sheet, M.Phil degree and mark sheet (if completed and as applicable)
• Caste Certificate, medical certificate if applicable
• Domicile Certificate
• Character/ Conduct Certificate issued from the last institution attended
• Transfer/ Migration Certificate issued from the last institution attended
• Income Certificate, if applicable

Admission Procedure

Admission to RGPV will be based on the performance of the candidate in the entrance conducted by the University. Candidates who qualify through the entrance test will be called for admission and seat will be guaranteed on the payment of fees and verification of documents.

Hostel and Facilities

The main campus of the University situated in a beautiful hilly region, it is aesthetically designed, landscaped and modern with over 247 acres in area.

The campus includes buildings of separate hostels for boys and girls, students’ common room, canteen, principal’s quarters, staff accommodation, guest house.

Offers many facilities like 24/7 internet connectivity, air conditioned amphitheatre classrooms. The air conditioned central library has over 71935 books and more than 24,000 online journals on varied subjects.

With a carpet area of 6000² m, the library block has a capacity to stack more than 5 lakh volumes and can has room for 2000 readers at a time. The e-library has extensive resources, subscriptions, links with UGC, Infonet/Inflibnet, Indest-AICTE journals.

Other features include bus facilities, bank counters, ATMs, dispensary and hospitals near the campus. Cultural activities and indoor and outdoor sports like cricket, football, volleyball, chess, table tennis, judo etc are available.
