Dr Cv Raman University (CVRU) Bilaspur

The University was established on November 3rd, 2006 by All India Society for Electronics & Computer Technology (AISECT) Group under section two of University Grants Commission (UGC) Act 1956. It was named after the first Nobel Laureate of India, Dr. C.V Raman. It is a private University and is situated in the backward region of Kota Bilaspur.

It is a well established University in Chhattisgarhi and in Central India. The University is a Research and Education hub of a number of Professional courses which includes diversity in the field of Education.

It provides education to around 85,000 students and aims to develop a new group of Confident, Capable and Cultured Professionals who are excellent in their skills.

CVRU has been selected for execution of Deen Dayal Upadhyay Kaushal Kendra Yojna. It also provides open, distance learning programs and development vocational courses to the students. It has affiliation with electronics, telecommunication, retailer and construction skill councils.

It provides Management, Science, Arts, Commerce, Journalism, Law, Humanities and many more courses.

How to apply

To apply to this institution candidates can avail the application form either from the official website or directly from the academic section of the university. Visit the official website and click on the ADMISSION tab, then download the admission form for whichever course candidate is interested in.

Fill all the necessary personal and academic details and attach a demand draft of Rs.150 favoring at Kota branch Bilaspur with the form and send it through registered post to The Registrar Dr.C.V.Raman University Kargi Road, Kota, Bilaspur (C.G.) 495113.

If the candidate is directly getting the form, he/she has to pay in cash Rs. 150/- at the academic counter and submit the duly filled form.

Admission Procedure

After the CVRU ENTRANCE EXAM is taken by the candidate, the result will be intimated through SMS on the registered mobile number and the results would also be available on the official website.

The rank list will be generated and accordingly, seats would be allocated to students according to their preferences at the time of admission. The documents to be carried by the students at the time of admission are-

• Qualifying examination mark statements of all attempts
• Transfer Certificate / School Leaving Certificate
• Migration Certificate
• Community Certificate (For SC/ST/OBC only)
• Domicile Certificate

Lastly, students can submit the requisite fees and confirm the seat.

Hostel and Facilities

Campus Facilities

The C.V. Raman University is located in Kota, Bilaspur, Chattisgarh India. It has state of the art infrastructure provided for the strong foundation of the students. Infrastructure facilities include workshops, well-established library, community radio, and video conferencing room.

Other facilities include transportation facility, canteen, guest house, placement house and a health center. It also has on-campus gymnasium hall and sports arena for indoor and outdoor games. It also provides on-campus Wifi facility available throughout the day.

Hostel Facility

The hostel facility is available on campus. At present it can accommodate more than 150 students. Other facilities provided are mess facility, recreational room, carom room, TV set and other amusement activities. The hostel also provides transportation facility for an easy commute of the students.

Student Activity

Extracurricular activities involve community service, cultural events, and sports meet. The groups like NSS i.e. National Service Scheme are also well established in this university.
