Application and Admission Procedure

How to apply

The University offers Undergraduate Postgraduate and PhD programmes. The UG courses are offered under these streams:

• Arts
• Commerce
• Sciences
• Social Science
• BBA
• Foundation Courses
• Skill Enhancement Courses
• Rural Engagement Programmes
• Other courses

At PG level the university offers MBA, MSW, MA, M.Sc and MCA in languages, science, maths and social sciences.

To apply to the courses students can fill the online form.

Online method: For online application form students can register themselves on the students portal. After registration they are expected to fill all correct details in the form. Scanned passport sized photograph and signature must be uploaded along with these documents:

• D.O.B proof
• Copy of 10th and 12th marksheets
• Transfer certificate
• Entrance exam card

Payment can be made online through Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking or through DD in the favour of “Registrar, Mahatma Gandhi University” or Challan slip of the required amount.

Admission procedure

The admission criteria is based on merit taking in consideration the marks and passing percentage of intermediate/graduation/post graduation levels along with the score/rank in the appropriate entrance exam.

For Bachelor level courses, the admission criteria is demands passing marks, ranging from 40%-60% minimum. Along with qualification of the Mahatma Gandhi University Global Entrance Test ( MGU GET ). Other valid entrance exams such as AIEEE/UPSEEE/DCE/CAT/MAT/SAT/GMAT/ENAT/EMAT are considered too.

For PG courses, the MGU GET entrance score and 50% marks in relevant graduation field is needed.

For admissions into PhD programmes, criteria set by the university will follow.

Hostel and Facilities

Campus Facilities:

a. The Mahatma Gandhi University provides hostels for the students.

b. Some of the other facilities provided in the campus are gym, mess and sports.

Hostel

a. The hostel facility is available for both male and female students. There are two hostels for male students and one hostel for female students.

b. It also provides room with furniture, wifi connection, and CCTV surveillance.

c. Hostel accommodation is available for everyone and is allotted on first come first serve basis.

d. Amount of the scholarship offered:

The university provides many scholarships to students whose financial background is weak and to students who secure good marks in academics.
