In the year 2007, after completing the formalities of H.P. Govt., Department of Higher Education and H.P. University, Shimla, Abhilashi Institute of Life Sciences came into existence as a unit of Abhilashi Educational Society with aim to build future leaders in field of life sciences and Biotechnology.

Abhilashi College of Life Science, Mandi was established in 2007 and has become a popular choice among students who wish to make their career in science. The curriculum for the students is designed by keeping a balance between theory and practical. The institute has 8 well-equipped labs where students conduct research.
