In the year 2007, after completing the formalities of H.P. Govt., Department of Higher Education and H.P. University, Shimla, Abhilashi Institute of Life Sciences came into existence as a unit of Abhilashi Educational Society with aim to build future leaders in field of life sciences and Biotechnology.
Abhilashi College of Life Science, Mandi was established in 2007 and has become a popular choice among students who wish to make their career in science. The curriculum for the students is designed by keeping a balance between theory and practical. The institute has 8 well-equipped labs where students conduct research. Students also get opportunity to work under professors to carry out research. The faculty has vast experience in their respective fields to guide the students. The strong alumni network enables the placement team and institute to bring good profiles for students. As per the curriculum students have to mandatorily intern at various forensics labs, pharmacy, hospitals to gain exposure and skills. Students are also given opportunity to take up their own researches.
Students are provided with separate hostel facilities, gym, and for extra-curricular the institute organizes tour to various cities for seminars, projects internships to promote learning.
