Poornima University was set up in Jaipur, Rajasthan in 2012. It is a private university approved by UGC and promoted by Shanti Educational Society. The Poornima College of Engineering was the first institute set up in 2000 followed by college of management in 2007 before the group was conferred university status. The university offers programs in Technology, Architecture, Design, Management and Arts. The university offers more than 20 courses and has over 2700 students enrolled.
The university was ranked as Best Upcoming University of India by ASSOCHAM. The Architecture programs of the university are approved by COA while the design programs are approved by Institute of Indian Interior Designers (IIID).
The core mission of the university is to “create knowledge based society with scientific temper”.
The university admits the students to its Btech program based on their scores in JEE, State Entrance test and its own entrance test. The final admission is based on test scores, performance in personal interview and academic record of the student.
The university also has foreign collaborations with institutes like AIT, Thailand.
The university provides encouragement to disadvantaged students through .Support Classes, Make-up Classes, Revision Classes, and Extra teaching Time.
Application and Admission Procedure
HOW TO APPLY
- The application form is available online at the official website of the University. Fill in your personal details and choice of courses.
- The candidates can also apply offline by downloading the application form or purchasing it from the University campus and sending it filled to the University.
- The candidates need to submit the following documents for the application process- mark sheets of qualifying examination, class 10th mark sheet, 6 passport size photographs, and migration certificate.
- Also, the candidates need to pay the fees for the application process.
ADMISSION PROCEDURE
- The seats are provided to the students on the basis of merit in Poornima University B.Tech Entrance test or on the basis of JEE MAIN score or the state eligibility test.
- The students are selected on the basis of merit.
- After the selection the students need to report at the University for paying the fee and document verification.
Hostel and Facilities
This private University located in Jaipur with state-of-art infrastructure is spread over an area of 3,00,000 sq ft. The University has excellent hostel facilities with 3 boys hostels with capacity for more than 800 students and centralised girls hostel for more than 650 students.
The well equipped Wi-Fi campus provide library with more than 15,000 books, e-learning resources, international relation office, solar plants for an eco-friendly environment, canteens, stationary shops, ATMs, departmental stores, separate guest rooms for visiting parents and guardians and separate residential apartments for faculty and staff. The institute also has advanced computer lab, animation lab, fashion design studio, architecture and interior design studio and others.
For the students continuous health care is provided by a multi- facility hospital near the campus. The University sports ground has a hydraulic gymnasium, 400 meters standard track and outdoor games. The transport facilities include 18 buses, cars and vans for the convenience of the students, faculty and staff.

Remarks
Overall the remark for college is good and its good for all students as they provide opportunity to all the students equally. There is a constant support from the faculty which makes the academics easier and the level of interaction btw the seniors and the juniors is at another level.
Entrance Exam
I got selected based on my jee mains score. I had scored 80% in class 12th and around 152 marks in jee. No Interview was given by me.
Fees
The fee for most of the specialization in engineering is the same. For my branch I had paid around Rs 1.2 lakhs per annum. Hostel fee is not included in this.
Placements
The placement is decent. Google, Wipro, TCS were the big brands that came to our college with huge packages. The average package was around 4.75 lakhs. A lot of students got placed on campus and rest got placed off campus.
Hostel and Facilities
Hostel life is the best thing happened to me at Poornima as we have all the events happening here and we get to interact with the seniors
Alumni
The alumni network of the college is pretty strong and the students also get an opportunity to interact with them. The seniors have been like brother to me always available everytime available.
Faculty
Some of the faculty members teach well but some dont know how to even control a class, they have knowledge but cant teach. Though most of the faculty is faculty is available everytime for students to clear their doubts anytime of the day.
Campus Life
ATM, stationery shop cafeteria are all inside the campus so there is not much need to go outside and find things. Though the best part is that the college also provides language classes to the students.
Academics
The structure of exams is pretty hectic but relieving at the same time as for the whole year we are dealing with different types o exams like mid terms, semester exams etc but the break we get after that makes it worth.
Internships
Internship was offered by the college by some of the top companies but most of them did not provide the stipend.
Loans and Scholarships
The scholarship scene here is great. If you score atleast 60% you get some scholarship. Loans and scholarships are available but you need to submit certain documents for the loan and score well for the relations.
Remarks
My overall experience at this university has been caught the management keeps on improving the facilities year or near. The placement of the college is average and the faculty here is experienced. One can easily consider this university for higher education.
Entrance Exam
The university required student to have at least 50% in class 12th. Along with that for my course i also had to have jee mains score. I was selected just based on my marks and did not had to appear for any interview.
Fees
The fee of the university is average. I had paid around 1.2 lacs for my btech course. I think this is in par with other university also this includes all hidden charges.
Placements
Placement of university is average not a lot of companies game during the placement. Though some of the big names that as tomato key fob placement and offered a package of about 7 lacs. The average placement package received was around 3 to 5 lacs. The college does not provide any placement training.
Hostel and Facilities
I would recommend students to stay in the nearby pg as compared to the hostels provided by the university. The facilities provided by the hostel are not that good also they are very discipline and not throw it in a freedom.
Alumni
The loft college is not very interactive with. The work in south top companies but only few of them. On the other hand seniors have been very understanding
Faculty
Faculty of the college is great and our product of some of the top institutions in the country. They have enough practical knowledge which comes handy during relate topics. Those some of them are really young and left discipline 10 compare to the older once.
