Institute of Management Studies, which is situated in Greater Noida, began its educational journey in the year 1998. The University Grants Commission of India and the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) have awarded the college with an ‘A’ grade. The management course has also been approved as an equivalent to the MBA course by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
The PGDM program which has also been approved by the AICTE, offers specializations in International Business and in Entrepreneurship. Aspirants can apply for the courses through their official website and will be screened on the basis of MAT/CAT/CMAT/XAT scores. The selected students will then be invited for the Personal Interview or the Group Discussion round after which the final offer will be made.
The Institution has established dedicated centres and societies exclusively for Data Science, Digital Marketing, Media Research, E-commerce, Consumer Laws, and Entrepreneurship for learning and exploring beyond academics.
Application and Admission Procedure
Located in Noida, Uttar Pradesh Institute of Management Studies was founded in 1998.
Admission to the various courses offered at the under graduate and post graduate level (Except MCA) is done on the basis of Joint Entrance Test (JET) conducted by the institute.
Undergraduate courses:
Various undergraduate courses offered are BBA, BCA, BJMC and LLB or BA-LLB. The candidate must have passed 10+2 or any equivalent examination from a recognised board in order to be eligible for the admission. The further procedure is selection of the candidates based on their rank in JET.
Postgraduate courses:
For admission into MJMC, the student needs to have a bachelor’s degree in any stream from a recognised university. The final admission is based on the JET score. For admission in the MCA course, the student needs to appear in Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE) followed by an interview.
15% of the seats are filled through the management quota.
Hostel and Facilities
Hostel:
The IMS in Noida has a sprawling campus with a metro station, mall and Fortis hospital nearby. Banks and ATMs are on campus.
Different hostels are available near the institute for both genders with fully furnished and spacious room, full time water and electricity supply, security and wifi availability. Good food and water are available along with housekeeping and laundry services.
The conjoined IMS and DIA women’s hostel has a beauty parlor and classes are provided in aerobics and dance. Medical facilities and game rooms are available too. Festivals are celebrated with different events and cuisines.
Other facilities:
The campus has a library with more than 26,000 management books along with a digital collection.
There is a FMCG retail lab, a Media and Communication lab and a Banking and Finance lab.
Foreign internships and international conferences are facilitated. British Council, AIESEC and other have collaborated to give concessions and organize programmes and certificate courses for the dynamic development of students.

Remarks
I canonot remember of anything about this college. The college life is something i have cherished a lot. During my time the colleg got over early around lunch so you have enough time to do other things this is something i liked about the college very much. Rest of the things like facilities, faculty, placement were also fine.
Entrance Exam
They have their own entrance exam which everyone can clear. There's a computer-based MCQ test first then an interview. I hardly think the college turns anybody down as i scored way below my frinds in the entrace and still got admitted in the college. I did not had to give any interview.
Fees
The fee if you compare with other private colleges is pretty reasonable. I have paic close to a lakh per year as my fee. This also includes the mic fee like study materia, college uniform etc.
Placements
TCI express and many other such as Amazon came this year for placement. the college also provides assistance in off-campus placements. amazon gave a package around 2.2 laks p.a which is not enough according to today's scenario. yes the college provides you internships and leave is granted too. last year Future Group provided us with internships. you can do internships from outside too. you get a stipend of around 5k to 7k based on your job profile.
Hostel and Facilities
Well, I haven't been at the hostel. I don't know much about it. Fellows say rooms are air-conditioned. Hostel fees slightly expensive according to what fellow students who stay at the hostel told me. But yes there are many societies nearby and you can get room, food, cooler, TV, etc all for like 8k a month.
Alumni
I don't have much idea about the alumni network but seniors are very helpful and it's a ragging free campus. dean is also good you will get to meet him sometimes. Seniors are very helpful and friendly of all departments. Interaction with senior depends on person to person and there is no such thing as rudeness among them.
Faculty
Faculty keeps changing, almost all the skilled faculty members left in my three years of graduation and new inexperienced, not so interactive teachers have taken their place. Maybe the doesn't pay well to faculty members. But yes faculty members are very helpful and care about students.
Campus Life
There is a lot of diversity on the campus as you get a lot of students from various states which makes it pretty fun as you get to meet so many people and even learn their languages. Talking about the gender ratio it varies from job to job.
Academics
Chilled out. There are two internal exams. Students need to attend at least one. Labs and practical things are a rare sight at IMS. Exams are mostly theory and ratification based. If you're even slighy intelligent you just need few hours before the exam to score decent marks. Also, make sure you fill a lot of sheets in your exam as some faculties prefer quantity over quality..
Internships
yes, the college provides you with internships. The placement cell is responsible for providing you an internship. The best thing is you dont have to do the internship while attending the college as leave is granted during the period. last year Future Group provided us with internships. you can do internships from outside too. you get a stipend of around 5k to 7k based on your job profile.
Loans and Scholarships
Yes, scholarship is provided by the college. If you scored above 80% in your class 12th boards then you get a scholarship of around Rs 10k. I m not much aware of the loan as i did not take it.
