About Swami Rama Himalayan University, [SRHU]:

Swami Rama Himalayan University, [SRHU] was founded on 12 March 2013 by the pursuance of Himalayan University Act. This University was proposed by the Himalayan Institute Hospital Trust [HIHT] to accomplish the goals of H.H. Dr Swami Rama and was formerly known as the Himalayan University. SRHU is an emerging University that provides teaching, training and research in all branches of study such asmedical sciences, dental sciences, nursing, pharmacy, paramedical and allied health sciences, science, engineering & technology, biotechnology, yoga sciences, management, rural development, humanities and other branches of higher education.

The Himalayan Institute Hospital Trust [HIHT] is a society started by Dr Swami Rama, a great Philosopher, Scientist, Yogi and Humanitarian in June 1st, 1989. This was registered under the Societies Registration Act 1860. It serves millions of people of Uttarakhand and surrounding areas.
