Kashmir Law College was found in the year 2005 and is one of the foremost centres of learning in the J&K State.It has been established by the Shadab Educational Trust to impart quality legal education to meet the challenges of globalisation. The programmes have been designed to impart Legal Education and Training in modern Legal Professional Techniques to develop right competence, skill & attitude in budding lawyers. The stringent admission process ensures selection of appropriately qualified, motivated and meritorious students. The college is one of the premier Colleges of the State engaged in imparting quality legal education. The college endeavours to fulfill the growing need for world class lawyers. The college focuses on building right capabilities and values in students and enables them to contribute and be creative.
The college’s three and five years (full time) LL.B & BA. LL.B programmes, respectively, have been approved by the Bar Council of India and University of Kashmir.

Eligibility
1) 3 year Law Degree Course - A candidate who has graduated in any discipline from a recognized University can appear for L.L.B. course
2) Integrated Degree Program - Candidate must have passed 10+2 Higher Secondary Exam or an exam cosidered to be equivalnt to 10+2 Higher Secondary Exam can enrol for integrated degree program (LLB and a first degree in any other subject).
Candidates who have obtained 10+2 Higher secondary exam certificate or a graduate degree after taking up other courses through distance mode are also considered eligible for integrated degree course. But those candidates who have obtained 10+2 Higher secondary exam certificate or a graduate degree through distance mode or from open universities without any basic qualification are not eligible for admission into law courses.
Minimum marks for admission into law courses -
1) 40% for SC/ST candidates
2) 45% for other candidates
