The S.P.Jain Institute of Management and Research is one of the best management school in the country. The institute has been in service since 1981, inaugurated by then British PM the Rt. Hon. Margaret Thatcher. This institute is a part of Bhartiya Vidya Bhawan and is located in India’s financial capital, Mumbai.

SPJIMR is one the most well known management institutes of the country. Established in 1981, it has constantly featured among “Top B-Schools” of the country. Besides that, the institute is also approved by the AICTE and accredited by the NBA.

PGDM (2 Years)
Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent from a recognised Board/University.
Admission:
- The profiles are scored and the applicants are sorted into two groups: Profile based and Profile cum Score based. Various factors are considered for selection of applicants such as- Overall profile Academic background, Work experience, Entrance scores, Versatility and achievements.
PGPM (1.6 Years)
Eligibility
- Passed an undergraduate programme from a certified/recognised University, OR/AND
- Member of a family managed business (at least second generation), with a significant stake in business, OR/AND
- Worked in the family business for at least a year prior to applying for the course
Admission:
- Based on online general aptitude test
- Two rounds of interviews with two separate panels comprising of senior faculty. Participants will be required to make a brief presentation (of about 20 minutes) regarding their business and future plans
- Review of the assessments of the two panels by the Programme Head and Centre Head and sending call or rejection letters

Hostel and Facilities
Hostel Facility
There is hostels facility for boys as well as for girls. All the rooms are spacious enough and have accessibilities of all basic amenities like 24 hours electricity, water, high-speed internet etc. all the rooms are well furnished and well maintained too.
There are two kinds of rooms available like AC and non AC. The rooms are available here as sharing basis. The hostels have own messes which serve fresh, healthy Jain food( Vegetarian).
Other Facilities:
This popular college has a cafeteria, a very extensive library and very well organized separate labs. All the classrooms are quite large and accommodate a large number of students. Apart from this, all classrooms are well equipped with all modern facilities.
It also has an IT centre, amphitheatre and a training centre. Within this college campus, there is a lake, cultural centre, botanical garden and a yogkutir. It provides a wonderful faculty.
The college also provides internship facilities to its students.

Remarks
One of the finest management institution in India and has grown in strength year on year. It's today ranked among India top Management institution in the country. Everything about the institute is planned from the course structure to the placements.

Fees
Fee structure is partially paid by the sponsoring organization and other remaining being paid by the student - generally in a 80-20 proportion. The organization used to pay the entire fee upfront to the institute and then later kept on collecting the amount due from the students in multiple installments via their salary deductions. Also, most organizations sponsoring this program required the students to sign a 3 - 5 year bond with them.
Placements
Since most of the students in this program were having an range of 10-25 years of experience, there is no campus placement for this program.However, as a student who successfully completed this program, I would say that post completing this, the scope of opportunities really open up.
Hostel and Facilities
Yes there is hostel. Terrible. the food at the mess was Vegetarian and to top it was jain food. The rooms were shared and the facilities were average.
Alumni
The alumni netwrok is very helpful to students and when they come for meetings or seminars they tell us about themselves, what they do and how has the college helped them. These alumni sessions are very motivating for me especially as like most of the kinds i was also confused as to what to do and field to go to post completion of my studies. They have helped me out with assignments, prohects, exams and even placements. They have been a career guide and have a major contribution in my career choices. They told me not to go for something which pays you a lot of money but you dont want to do it and you are just doing it for the sake of money
Faculty
The faculty of the college is the best i could have asked for. They have been strict with us when needed and also linenet with us whenever needed. They are very qualified with degrees from top institutions of the country. They all have masters degrees in their field as well as most of them are PHD/research degree holders and also have a lot of industry experience.
Campus Life
The computer lab in the campus was quite good. They made us do some marketing and finance modules related exercises on some applications that really helped us understand the dynamics and complexities of everyday business. Also, these software are quite sophisticated and offer a wide range of algorithms to deal with different scenarios.
Academics
Internships
No internship/stipend was required here since this is a part time program taken up by mid and senior level managers while working. The students need to attend 10 days each quarter on the campus of the college and submit work assignments every week in the off-campus period.
Loans and Scholarships
None that I availed during my tenure but was aware of some scholarships that was offered. There were a few awards which were monetary in nature more to spur the students to perform. The Dean's award was considered to be the most prestigious of all the awards.
