Lyallpur Khalsa College offers globally competitive useful education to over 6000 students including over 2600 girls in more than 40 Degree, Diploma and Certificate programme in five disciplines: Humanities, Commerce, Computer Science and IT, Sciences and Physiotherapy. Some of the programmes are offered in Evening Shift and Distance mode of Education also. The College holds the proud distinction of being re-accredited with 'A' grade with a high 3.74 CGPA score on 4 point scale by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The college also has to its credit Star College Status awarded by the Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India. Apart from this, the Department of Biotechnology of the college is covered under the FIST scheme of the DST.
The college has established four research centres: Centre for the Shri Guru Granth Sahib Studies, Centre for Historical Studies, Punjab Centre for Migration Studies and S.
