About the Institute

Kohinoor Business School was formed by the Kohinoor Group back in 1961 to bring a modest change in education. All of the Kohinoor technical industries were involved in imparting vocational education focusing on the technical sector. Now that the group has grown they have put their focus on management education and having started off as a tiny organization the group allows students from all backgrounds and levels to come and perform in the institute. The institute is a symbol of empowerment and enablement for all the citizens of the country. The institute believes in empowering the lives of their students and turns them into best in class managers who can serve society at large.

How to apply

The application can be obtained from the institute’s admission office and can be submitted along with a DD of Rs. 1250. The DD is to be made in favor of “Kohinoor Management School” and it should be payable at Mumbai. Students who want to fill the application online can purchase it from their website kohinoor.edu.in

Admission Procedure

Candidates who want admission in Kohinoor Business School need to appear in any one of the following examinations - MH-CET, CAT, XAT, MAT, ATMA or CMAT.

The admission to the MMS course is conducted through All India CET, CAT, GMAT, XAT, ATMA, MMSCET and GMAT. The candidate’s scores should be available with him when applying to the institute. Candidates have to undergo a GDPI process before being eligible for a final call.

Eligibility Criteria

The applicant needs to hold a bachelor’s degree from any recognized university. Students who are in the final year of their degree are also eligible but they will be eligible for admission only after they provide their final degree mark sheet.

Campus Facilities(i.e. Infrastructure):

The campus houses a knowledge center, computer lab, cafeteria and activity centers which are always bubbling with energy and creativity in the minds of these young managers. There are various facilities for indoor and outdoor games. The knowledge center has a wide variety of books and journals for students to enrich themselves and learn from real life management problems.

Hostel

Kohinoor Business School offers hostel facilities for both boys and girls separately and all students are eligible to apply for hostel accommodation at an extra cost for food and lodging. All the basic amenities and necessities are provided to the students and complete security is provided.

Placements are very strong in Kohinoor Business School and allow students to grow and expand their horizons easily. In recent years students from all of the streams have been placed in some of the largest companies in the countries with excellent roles. Companies like ICICI, JP Morgan and KPMG are some of the largest recruiters in the institute. The placements in the previous batch concluded with the average salary at 4 lpa and the highest salary being 5.4 lpa.

According to the CSR-GHRDC survey Kohinoor Business School has ranked consistently in the top 50 B School list in the past 5 years highlighting their consistency and perseverance. The rankings were awarded by expert after thorough consideration of the institutes’ achievements.

Student Life

Students are always involved in experiential learning and have active lives learning in classrooms as well as various committees that exist to create opportunities to grow and learn. Students have their own grievance redressal committee and a women’s grievance redressal committee for a comfortable stay during the course of their student lives.

Important Dates

The applications process begins towards the end of the year and applications are accepted until all the major management exam results are released. You can expect the GDPI rounds to take place in the months of May and June and classes tend to begin by July.

Fees

The fee for the PGDM course is 2.5 lakh rupees per annum which need to be paid in installments through the semesters.
