Birla Institute of Technology and Science is a deemed university set up in 1964. It is located in Pilani, Rajasthan. The main focus of the university is to provide education in the fields of Science, Engineering and Management.

It has 15 departments providing higher education in various fields. The university has two domestic campuses in Goa and Hyderabad and one global campus in Dubai.

The annual intake of the university is 2698 for undergraduate courses and 1897 for postgraduate courses. The campus is spread across 1320 acres

The admissions into the programs offered are through its own entrance exam i.e BITSAT (BITS Admission Test). Below is a list of courses offered by the University-

The university campus is spread over across 1320 acres and is fully residential. A well-equipped gymnasium, a swimming pool, labs, libraries, etc. make up the university’s infrastructure.

Hostel

Accommodation is provided for all students. There are 11 hostels for boys and 1 hostel complex for girls with round-the-clock electric supply, water supply, internet accessibility etc. All hostels have a cable TV connection, telephone, common rooms, and a mess. There is a separate mess for the girl’s hostel which is fully managed by students.

Student Life

Students are provided with various sports facilities (both indoor and outdoor) that include a cricket ground, volleyball court, badminton court, tennis court, etc. Apart from these common rooms, recreational rooms offer a platform to exchange thoughts and engage in several cultural and extracurricular activities. Scholarship programs are also available in addition to Teaching Assistantships for meritorious students (that come with a stipend of up to 12400 per month).
