Raiganj Surendranath Mahavidyalaya is a coeducational general-degree college, with student strength of about 5000. The college was founded in 1986. The college offers three-year Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) and Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degrees under the University of Gour Banga. Located in the northern end of Raiganj town, the campus includes a modern three storied building. Excellent facilities include science laboratories, library with e-resource, office equipped with network, recreation room, music room, language training center, computer training center, learning support and carrier corner, etc. The college has made a major commitment to spread academic excellence in Raiganj and surrounding areas. It is in the process widening opportunities in key undergraduate programs. The college has experienced tremendous growth in recent years, which leads to opening newer opportunities to Post Graduation through Distance Education mode under Rabindra Bharati University.
