HOOGLY ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY COLLEGE, CHINSURAH

The institute is a degree college registered under the society’s registrations act 1956. Since its establishment the institute has come a long way in the field of technical education. Trained staff and disciplined environment is the backbone of the institute.

The institute is divided into 6 departments each catering to the different area of science and technology. These departments are as follows:

The most promising recruiters of the institute has been Godrej, Tech Mahindra, HCL, Infosys, Amazon, Cognizant, ADP etc. The college also offers various amenities to its students such as well-equipped labs, large library, modern classrooms, canteen etc. Admission is granted strictly on the merit basis obtained in West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations.

CAMPUS FACILITIES:

The library is opens on 9.45am to 5.45pm from Tuesday to Saturday. There is an excellent collection of books, journals and non-book materials ranging to over 20000. Books on various disciplines which can be used as a reference guide can be also found here. The journals are updated to meet the advanced engineering and technology knowledge of the students. They also have subscription to 2 English papers.

Labs play a key role in the academic curriculum. The numerous labs help to cater to the different spheres of engineering. The main departments which vigorously use the lab facility are:

HOSTEL FACILITIES

The females are provided with in-campus hostel and the males are provided with an off-campus hostel located near Bandel Railway Station. The rooms provided to the boarders are furnished well with the availability of generators and safe drinking water.
