Prabhu Jagatbandhu College was established in 1964, popularly known as Andul College. The College has been named after Sri Sri Prabhu Jagatbandhu, a saint in the true sense of the term. It is a co-educational college started in the humbe way and had been handicapped by the over-bearing presence of at least four big colleges, it withstood all the difficulties and has now become one of the leading colleges in Howrah District. The college has been able to maintain its own identity and a good academic standard as reflected in teaching and university examination Results.

The vision of the college is to energize the human capital of the hinterland of the college by setting new standards for excellence, access, and stewardship for a new era.
