Since, manyyears, the young generation of this region was facing problem of acquiring higher education in professional courses. With this as a motive, the society decided to set up this institute at Kashipur. The Institute is dedicated to providing quality education at the graduate and postgraduatelevels.
The institute was established on July 01, 2004. The Institute operates through its own permanent premises since its inception. The Institute currently offers an MBA, B.Ed., BBA, BCA and PGDCA courses.The Institute is spread over 23000 sq.m. (6 Acres) land in pollution free lush green environment with eye catching hill view. The campus is full of beautiful lawns and landscape and has gorgeous building. The Institute has a large library, state of art ComputerCentre, core faculty and desirable infrastructure. The Institute also provides transport facility from Ramnagar, Kashipur, Bazpur, Thakurdwara and Jaspur at reasonable charges.

SIMT is located in the picturesque foothills of Kumaun/Nainital region. It is located at 7 km stone on Kashipur-Ramnagar Road. Kashipur, an ancient city itself, (Map) is only 40 km from Nainital, 180 km from Haridwar, 210 km from Delhi. It is 32 km from Bazpur, 23 km from Jaspur, 20 km from Thakurdwara, 20 km from Ramnagar and 60 km from Moradabad.

Kashipur is well connected by train with Moradabad, Bazpur, Haldwani, Delhi and other stations. By road Kashipur is well connected by National Highways. Both private and Uttarakhand transport buses run from all important places.

Admissions:

MBA (2years/4 semesters):

Any degree with recognized university with minimum of 50% marks. Admission to the above programme is subject to the guidelines issued from the Government of Uttrakhand and Uttrakhand Technical University time to time.

BCA (3 years/6 semesters):

Intermediate/10+2 with minimum 45% aggregate marks for General Category and 40% for reserved category with Mathematics as one of the subject.

BBA (3 years/6 semesters):

With specializations in Marketing, Human Resource Management, Finance Management & Information Technology the eligibility criteria is Intermediate/10+2 with 40%.

B.Ed (2 year):

Graduate in any discipline with at least 50% marks (45% SC/ST) and having two School subjects at graduation level. Admission is given through Entrance test taken by the Kumaun University, Nainital on merit basis.
