University B.T. & Evening College (UBTEC), Cooch Behar was established in 1968 is a multi-faculty college directly administered by North Bengal University. The college is accredited by NAAC with B grade and recognized by NCTE. The college was established as a constituent college of the University of North Bengal with a view to giving teachers’ training and helping the local youth to earn their first degree.

The aims and objectives of the institute are to work for the all round development of the students in the backward region of North Bengal and to train graduates/postgraduates in the art and science of teaching. The college endeavors to train graduates/postgraduates in the art and science of teaching and to create zeal among the students to work for the society.
