Xavier Institute of Engineering is situated in central Mumbai. The institute was established in the year 2005 to provide technical education to Roman Catholic students. The college is affiliated to the Mumbai University and is accredited by AICTE. The institute is managed by Jesuits.

The institute aims in providing new methodologies to train the students and bring out their skills in engineering. The institute is ranked 42 amongst all the private engineering institutions of the country and 4TH in Mumbai by Times Group and I3 Research Consultant.

Xavier Institute of Engineering provides undergraduate, post graduate and research courses in the field of engineering and technology. The courses offered by the institution include Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology etc.

The college supports its students in external affairs and provides opportunities to them to participate in extracurricular activities and explore themselves.

HOSTEL AND FACILITIES

Located in Mumbai, Maharashtra, Xavier Institute of Engineering provides many modern facilities to the students. The college is well-equipped with the required infrastructure. However, the college does not provide any hostel facility to the students. The campus is not residential and the students need to find the accommodation for them if they do not come from Mumbai or nearby areas.

Spread over a total area of 366 square meters, the college has an excellent library with a seating capacity of around 90.The library supports an open access system for browsing to the students. The library has a great collection of books ranging from text books to reference books. It also has a good collection of national and international journals for the reference of faculty members and students.

Different departments have different laboratories well equipped with all the modern equipments. Workshops are available to conduct practical experiments and classrooms are well ventilated and spacious. The college also has a gymkhana.

The college canteen provides decent eatables at an affordable price to all the students.
