U.V.Patel College of Engineering (UVPCE), Kherva was established in 1997 under the aegis of Mehsana District Education Foundation. It is a self-financed institute approved by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi, the Government of Gujarat and now it became the constituent college of Ganpat University. The prime aim of the college is a view of educating and training young talented students of Gujarat at the field of engineering and technology to meet the needs of industries in Gujarat and beyond for the growth of the industries.

UV Patel Engineering College, Mehsana, Gujaratwas named in honor of the great industrialist Ugarchandbhai Vanarsibhai Patel, who donated a major part for the construction of the Institute. The College works with a mission to seek, search and offer learning environment for academic excellence as well as for industrial relevance. The College offers bachelors and masters programs in computer engineering, electronics and communication engineering, information technology, bio-medical engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronics engineering, civil engineering, marine engineering and computer applications.

Their mission is to constant endeavor of the Mehsana District Education Foundation to meet the educational needs of the youth in the area of professional studies and provide state-of-the-art learning opportunities along with inculcation of values of professional commitment and uprightness. UV Patel Engineering College has always been supportive of talent possessed by students and to add to their skills the college included clubs namely aeromodelling club, SAE India UVPCE and Robocon Club. Apart from clubs, the college has encouraged students to take part in national level and inter-college activities such as TCS Fit for life campaign, Bosch Inscribe and Robocon competitions.
