Vidyasagar Primary Teachers’ Training Institute(VPTTI), Sutahata is governed by Indian Centre for Advancement of Research and Education, Haldia (ICARE), which was set up in 1995. The Institute is affiliated to West Bengal Board of Primary Education (WBBPE) and approved by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). The institute is located at an exclusive pollution free campus near Subarna Jayanti Bhavan at Amlat and is very closed to Mecheda-Tamluk-Haldia state High way. Well qualified and experienced lecturers help the students in accomplishing their aim of becoming well competent primary teachers. The institute has state of art infrastructural facilities.
Academic Year:
Academic session of D.Ed. course will start in June/July or as may be decided by WBBPE or any other competent authority. The duration of the course is of two years.
Working Days:
Minimum 200 days each year exclusive of the period of examination out of which at least 40 days shall be for practice teaching / skill development in nearby elementary schools.
Medium of Instruction: Bengali.
